RE: Lincoln Ciry v Huddersfield Town - Amelia Chaffinch - 02-04-2025

The only manager to get past Carthoss, would be someone who agrees with Carthoss. Anyone who has an opinion, eg Warnock, is out of the door or doesn't get in.

I agree that we need a new manager ASAP, we need someone to come in and assess the squad and begin planing for next season. We need to see a style/direction of play on the field. The fans need something to cling to, a reason to buy a season ticket.

It was clear last night, the majority want rid of Cartwright. It was also clear that many fans have now crossed that line and have had enough. We’ve had 4 permanent managers under this ownership and Worthy stepping in on a further 2 occasions and each and everyone one of them has managed to finish in a lower position than his predecessor.
If we are serious about getting this right then he needs to scrap the old boys club that he put in charge and go and get someone like Webber who knows the English leagues but also the European leagues and let him choose our next manager

Webber didn't go down as well at Norwich as he did at ours, where Wagbo didn't work out too well along side him for the 2nd time either, but sometimes, if the glove fits ...

The only thing is, last time it was on Hoyle's hand who managed to get everyone, initially at least, pullling in the same direction which was upwards. I'm not sure I know what direction Kevin the Gerbil is pulling in, let alone anyone else that reports to him. I'm not sure which hand the glove is supposed to go on either. He's so far failed to stop us heading downwards despite spending in 2 years more money than Deano did in 5-8 years. OK, Deano wasn't spending much of it on the stadium, other than trying to pry some of Davy's share's out of his mits.

As I don't have a thread for the next couple of games, I'll throw this one in here.

Games left to play for the Top 10.

With Brum almost certainly runaway winners, there's a battle for 2nd between at least 3 clubs, maybe 4 and a battle for 6th between 5 clubs

Read across from the left, the clubs they play whether at home away are in the top row.
Light Green - top 8
Yellow - middle 8
Red - bottom 8 - as it stands

Brum don't have to play anyone higher than Blackpool - just hand them the trophy and get on with it. They have the most games to play with 8.
Wrexham have to play Charlton but then it's nobody higher than Blackpool.
Wycombe have to play 6 of the 7 clubs directly below them and Stevenage. Only 2 of those 6 games are at home. If any club has promotion in their own hands it's them.
Charlton have to play the 2 above them, then nobody higher than Lincoln (they feature a lot).
Stockport have to go to Wycombe and platy Town at home, then play nobody higher than Lincoln.
Bolton, apart from Wycombe, play nobody higher than Barnsley and Lincoln but only have Bristol to play in the bottom 3rd.
Reading, if they make it to the end of the season, apart from Wycombe, also play nobody higher than Barnsley and Lincoln.
Town have Wycombe and Stockport at home, Orient on the final day and nobody else higher than Exeter.
Blackpool, who have suddenly found out how to win again, play Brum (last game) and Wrexham, they are the only ones below Wycombe that don't play Wycombe. Otherwise Stevenage are the highest placed opponent.
Orient play Wycombe and Town (last game) and then nobody above Barnsley. 4 of their games are against bottom 8 clubs.

Make of that what you will. They are ordered by (current) League position and not the order they'll be played.

Pressers cancelled today or what? Last time I looked it was Thursday today, the normal presser day shirley? Unless I'm having a bit of a turn. Or are they now all moved to Friday so they can report on live team injuries, "on the grass", as they happen?

RE: Lincoln Ciry v Huddersfield Town - Lord Snooty - 04-04-2025

2pm Friday, theo. Yes it is late. They used to be Friday for home games and Thursday for away. Maybe it was Duff who moved them to all Thursdays.
