Wycombe Wanderers have signed midfielder Magnus Westergaard from Danish Superliga side Viborg.
The 26-year-old has penned an undisclosed-length deal with the managerless League One promotion contenders.
Westergaard has scored five goals in 49 league games since signing from Lyngby in February 2023.
"Magnus is a player with fantastic pedigree in the Danish Superliga and complements the way we play," said Wycombe's chief football officer Dan Rice.
"We're really pleased to bring him to the club, especially given the strong level of competition we faced for his signature in the UK and across Europe. He was one of our top targets for this January transfer window."
Following the departure of head coach Matt Bloomfield and his backroom team, Wycombe have had a caretaker coaching team made up of development coaches - including Sam Grace, Harry Hudson, Matty Dye and Jerome John - to oversee training this week.
The Chairboys still lie second in League One thanks largely to a 19-match unbeaten run between 24 August and 26 December. They are two points behind leaders Birmingham City, having played two games more, but have only picked up four points out of a possible 12 from their past four games.
They visit Nigel Clough's Mansfield Town this Saturday before a home game with Northampton Town the following week.

Scotland Under-21 midfielder Alex Lowry has been sold by Rangers to Wycombe Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old had come through the youth ranks at Ibrox and there were high hopes that he would become a first-team regular after he scored when making his first-team debut in the Scottish Cup against Stirling Albion in January 2022.
Lowry started the following Scottish Premiership game against Livingston, but he has since only made 12 more appearances, three of them starts, and has most recently been playing for the B team.
He was due to be out of contract with Rangers this summer and Wycombe have given no indication on their website how long his deal with the side sitting second in League One will last.
However, Wycombe say they are "thrilled" to secure the "highly-rated midfielder", pointing out that he has scored 14 times in 19 games for Rangers B and played 17 times on loan to Scottish Premiership rivals Heart of Midlothian last season.
Chief football officer Dan Rice said: "Alex is someone we've identified as a really talented prospect for us and he comes with good experience in both youth and senior football in Scotland.
"As a midfielder, he's full of energy and creativity and suits the way we play - and we're really pleased to bring him into the squad.
"We're working around the clock this transfer window to make sure we can continue to make progress and give us every chance of achieving success - and bringing Alex to Wycombe Wanderers is another really positive step forward."

Wycombe Wanderers defender Ryan Tafazolli has left Adams Park for a loan spell in Hong Kong with Lee Man FC for the rest of the season.
The 33-year-old joined the Chairboys from Hull City in the summer of 2020 and has made 128 appearances and scored 10 goals.
He has only played five games in the current campaign, and just one in League One when they lost 3-2 at home to Birmingham City last August.
"Ryan's game time here has been limited, and so this is a brilliant chance for him to explore a new opportunity and get more minutes on the pitch," said chief football officer Dan Rice.
"We look forward to monitoring his progress and wish him every success during his time in Hong Kong."
Lee Man are the reigning Hong Kong Premier League champions and currently third in the table.

Former Exeter City centre-back Alex Hartridge has returned to the Grecians on loan from fellow League One club Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old joined Wycombe after his Exeter contract ran out last summer, having spent his entire professional career at St James Park.
But he has struggled to force his way into Wycombe's side, making just six appearances in League One this season and playing in eight cup ties.
He comes in as Exeter face a difficult period with defensive injuries - Cheick Diabate is their only fit recognised central defender after Tristan Crama's return to Brentford and fitness issues for Pierce Sweeney, Jack Fitzwater and Johnly Yfeko.
"We are obviously looking for a centre-half that we need," Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell told the club website., external
"Alex knows the club, and we know Alex, and in this situation it feels like a brilliant signing to bring him back to the club.
"It won't take any time for him to fit in or get to know people, and that understanding will be there straight away.
"We know for League One he is a very good centre-half and we are looking forward to having him back."

Promotion-chasing Wycombe Wanderers have made four deadline-day signings.
Following the arrival of former Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday and West Bromwich Albion midfielder Adam Reach earlier in the day, they have added Portsmouth goalkeeper Will Norris, as well as two outfield players, Nottingham Forest defender Fin Back and Hull City midfielder Xavier Simons, both on loan.
Norris, 31, was a regular fixture in Pompey's League One title-winning side last campaign, claiming the third tier's goalkeeper of the season award - but has not played since Pompey's 6-1 defeat at Stoke in October.
Norris, who began his professional career at Cambridge United, also spent time at Burnley, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Peterborough United.
Back, 22, who made five Forest first-team appearances during the 2021-22 Championship season, has spent the last two campaigns on loan at Carlisle United. He is the son of former England rugby union international and 2003 World Cup winner, Neil.
Simons, 21, who began his career at Chelsea, was on loan last season at Fleetwood Town, but has made 22 appearances for the Tigers this season.
Wycombe, who appointed former Sunderland caretaker boss Mike Dodds as their new head coach on Sunday, sit second in League One.
They are four points shy of leaders Birmingham City, who also have two games in hand, but are four points clear of third-placed Wrexham, who have lost three of their last six matches.
Wycombe head for Preston in Dodds' first game in charge this Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round - for which Simons is cup-tied - before returning to league action a week later at Crawley.

Wycombe Wanders midfielder David Wheeler has left the League One club by mutual consent after five and a half years at Adams Park.
The 34-year-old and the club agreed to cancel his contract on Monday with the player keen to "pursue new opportunities elsewhere".
Wheeler helped the Chairboys win promotion to the Championship for the first time in the club's history in 2019-20 when they beat Oxford United in the League One play-off final at Wembley.
In total he made 209 appearances for Wycombe and scored 19 goals.
'An incredible team-mate'
"David has been a fantastic servant to Wycombe Wanderers throughout his time here and can absolutely leave the club with his head held high after making so many valuable contributions on and off the pitch," chief football officer Dan Rice told the club website., external
"He will always be welcome back as a friendly face around Adams Park and we hope he will be able to return soon to receive a deserved fond farewell from the supporters."
Wheeler made five league appearances this season in Wycombe's challenge for promotion back to the second tier, with his final one in a 4-1 win at Shrewsbury in mid-December.
His introduction as a late substitute in the FA Cup win over Portsmouth last month was his final game in a Wycombe shirt.
Club captain Jack Grimmer called Wheeler an "incredible team-mate and a fantastic ambassador" and added he will "go down in history" as an important part of the side that reached the Championship for the first time.

Wycombe Wanderers have offered a new contract to defender Joe Low while fellow Wales international Sam Vokes heads a list of six senior players leaving the club.
Low made 42 appearances, scoring four goals, for the Chairboys who finished third in League One but lost to Charlton Athletic in the play-offs.
Vokes helped the club reach the play-off final in 2022, in which they lost to Sunderland but only played nine games this season.
"Sam has been a wonderful ambassador for the club in many ways and his experience and character off the pitch have been hugely instrumental, even though his playing time has become limited," said chief football officer Dan Rice.
Fellow forwards Brandon Hanlan, Beryly Lubala and Kieran Sadlier are also leaving Adams Park, along with goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli and former West Brom, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Adam Reach, who was signed in February on a short-term deal.
"Brandon worked extremely hard to battle back from his year-long injury and that speaks volumes for his determination and resilience, while Beryly and Kieran have provided lots of bright sparks in the attack, though both have also been unfortunate with injuries," said Rice.
As well as Low, Wycombe have also offered new deals to youngsters Fin Back, Jahiem Dotse, Jack Matton and Laurie Shala.
And following last Thursday's 1-0 aggregate loss to Charlton, Wycombe's owners Feliciana EFL Ltd have said the club has an "exciting future ahead".
In a message to supporters, they added: "We've already shown what we're capable of - this season will only make us more determined and better prepared for what's next.
"One setback will not deter us from the longer-term goals that we have put in place to take this club to levels it has never reached before."

Doncaster Rovers have signed Wycombe Wanderers striker Brandon Hanlan on a two-year deal.
The 28-year-old will join the League Two title winners on 1 July when his contract with the Chairboys expires.
He scored 11 goals in 94 league appearances for Wycombe and ended last season on loan at Stevenage.
"He's a lovely kid who loves football and just wants to do as well and score as many goals as he can which is something I think we can help him with," boss Grant McCann told the club website.

Wycombe Wanderers have signed centre-back Dan Casey from Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.
The 27-year-old Irishman will join the Chairboys on 1 July after turning down a new contract with the Well.
Casey made 85 appearances across all competitions for the Lanarkshire side, scoring seven goals, after arriving from Irish side Bohemians in February 2023.
"Dan is an excellent defender with a really strong wealth of experience behind him," Wycombe boss Mike Dodds told the club website., external
"We're delighted he's agreed to join us and bring strength in a really important area of the pitch, particularly one where we've lost some key players this summer."
Wycombe, who finished fifth in League One last season and lost to Charlton in the play-off semi-finals, have not disclosed the length of Casey's deal at Adams Park.

Wycombe Wanderers have signed midfielder Caolan Boyd-Munce following his departure from Scottish Premiership side St Mirren.
The 25-year-old Northern Ireland international made 35 appearances for the Buddies last season, including three Europa Conference League games, and scored six goals.
Boyd-Munce becomes League One side Wycombe's third signing in four days after AFC Wimbledon forward James Tilley and Motherwell defender Dan Casey.
He previously played under Chairboys head coach Michael Dodds at Birmingham City, where Boyd-Munce began his career before moving on to Middlesbrough.
"Caolan was a fantastic young talent at Birmingham and I'm really excited to work with him again and develop his game further now that he's picked up great experience in senior football in the last few years," said Dodds.
"He's a really energetic player and suits the way we want to play."
No details of Boyd-Munce's contract at Adams Park have been disclosed by the club.
Wycombe finished fifth in League One last term after contesting the automatic promotion places with Birmingham City and Wrexham for much of the season, but were beaten 1-0 on aggregate by Charlton Athletic in the play-off semi-finals.
