RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Baggie_One - 25-04-2023 And with a Blackburn loss, the hope continues! RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - baggietrousers - 26-04-2023 We’ll he’s picked the best 11 available ? That question mark should be a crossed fingers. RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Baggie_One - 26-04-2023 Ohhh Taylor ? RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Salopbaggie - 26-04-2023 How many times have I whined on about sloppy back passing and going sideways, how many goals against has it cost us? Well there is another one a back pass form the half way line, a total joke. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Lord Snooty - 26-04-2023 That's the negative Carlos tactics we didn't like. Got us to Wembley but it was ever so dreary. RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Baggie_One - 26-04-2023 Plan for next season Starting with getting some strikers in RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Salopbaggie - 26-04-2023 (26-04-2023, 22:27)Lord Snooty Wrote: That's the negative Carlos tactics we didn't like. We are just to sloppy with it and why we constantly insist on trying to play through the middle when we have some great wingers is beyond me RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - BaggieSteve - 26-04-2023 Plenty of possession, at times comfortable but absolutely no end product: powder puff forward line, never really looked like actually turning half chances into goals. The sooner this season is over the better but I fear next season will be worse RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - 4evaabaggie - 26-04-2023 Going to be a miracle if we make the play offs now, we had to bad a start, we kept Bruce to long, too many injuries, serious injuries. Over a third of the season gone, we only had14 points, too much of an ask. Gave it a go but too little investment over a number of years meant the squad to lite on numbers and quality. Big summer ahead, no more parachutes and a parasite owner. An uncertain future .... Come on you baggies. RE: WBA - End of Season Thread - Slick_Footwork - 26-04-2023 I think we could've played all night and not scored a goal, we're so blunt up top. BTA works hard but he's not a striker IMO. As for the "creative" midfielders, they couldn't beat an egg. Not helped by the lack of forward runners throughout... To be honest, I think we need a complete overhaul of the team. We have far too many players who can't play. Years of dreadful transfers has caught up on us. But I'm not sure how we're going to do that with no money... Last summer we picked up the "best" free transfers by outbidding everyone else in the league. That's not going to happen again, not that those players lived up to their reputations anyway. Unless a new owners comes in, which I doubt, I fear we're in for years of mediocrity. |
