RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - theo_luddite - 13-02-2023 You'll probably be able to hear it anywhere in Huddersfield AmChaff. Barnsley might be pushing it a bit. RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - Devongone - 13-02-2023 Having seen them both play I'd never have believed that Sean Dyche and Neil Warnock would become successful managers. At least Dyche manages the way he played, all pumping red legs and a permanent search for more than 100% effort - the trier's trier. But Warnock ....... even his shorts needed ironing. He could cross a ball, but tackling, heading and running were nothing to do with him. His lack of involvement was total. Was he taken over by a shape-shifter? By the sound of your performances the first rollicking might last into March. But he might save you. You won't enjoy it. nor will the players. But he isn't the same bloke who must always have been the last desperate name on a desperate team sheet at Saltergate. RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - jjamez - 13-02-2023 I'm okay with this, the Warnock factor could be worth a few points alone, if anyone can get us out of this mess it'll be him. I think it suits everyone, he does well, another thing for him to talk about and we can progress with the sale and get a longer term coach in come summer. He fails then we've achieved what has come to be expected. RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - theo_luddite - 13-02-2023 I think, given we've had the best part of the season so far playing far from pretty football, and far too much of it in our half, so a few more months of what may be far from pretty football played in the oppo's half might at least improve our chances of scoring (we're one of the worst at that) along with not conceding as many, though we're not the worst at that stat, far from it. If we double our wins between now and the end of the season (big ask, big if) we'll have a good chance of staying up. Being in the division next season is now more important than how we stay there - go ask an Everton fan if you don't believe me. My cousins email address if it helps is ohnonotdyche@gwladysstreetend.co.uk ![]() Of course it isn't, silly. She doesn't sit in that end for a start. RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - theo_luddite - 14-02-2023 Let's be honest - that's Colin on the left in his youth. ![]() RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - ritchiebaby - 14-02-2023 Looks like another Wanker on the right! ![]() RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - theo_luddite - 14-02-2023 and there's a wanker to the left .... We won't get fooled again .... but you know we will RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - SHEP_HTAFC - 15-02-2023 Overall I'm happy with appointing Warnock until end of season. I really did not want another untried new manager....too much of a gamble at this stage of season. If anyone can motivate us and keep us up it'll be him. RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - WakeyTerrier - 15-02-2023 I'm happy with Warnock, he was the only available option to unite the fans. Since the news everyone I've spoken to is happy he's back, fans who no longer attend are coming back because they believe he will give us the best chance of staying up and we know he won't accept anything less than 100% RE: Where would you go next? The search for a new Town manager. - jjamez - 15-02-2023 Gives us the best chance of survival and hopefully a decent takeover, then we can plan for a longer term manager |
