I hope such ref partiality doesn't happen in this instance, but it is a concern TBH. VAR will be in operation tonight and hopefully that will dispel any doubts in such an important match for both nations and in front of a world audience with massive interest in this unique event.

Wrong formation, wrong system!!!
Also the "players' 'speed of thought' is damning compared with what the Ukraine players are doing"!! We must change to four at the back, midfield players have to be telt/altered. The shape of this team is wrong and Hickey "out of his depth" in this system - it didnae help him one jot!! They've clearly been rattled by Ukraine's positive movement/incursions at the Scotland defence. It's a big HT 15 mins for Clarke in what I reckon will be a heated discussion between players and manager. Also IMO get an attacking mid player out there to break up the Ukraine mid incursions and help our front players.

I'm astounded Clarke did no defensive changes at HT!! Amazing lack of leadership and tactical "nous"!! Hickey and McTominay prime targets as utter shit in their defensive positions!! Clarke standing back doing nowt and Scotland being "bossed" again!! Ukraine excellent under the circumstances. FFS Scotland still "all over the place" and off the pace of the game. Ukraine now in "cruise control", 0-2 ahead! Might suit Scotland.

We needed quality finishing at that stage of the match although we didnae deserve a comeback goal!! A goal pressurises the opponents at 1-2!! He didn't do it and it was a dreadful miss!!! The Robertson debate arises again - why is he so shit in big Scotland matches????? The third goal, albeit a last secs breakaway goal, all down to Robertson's lack of "speed of thought" - move forward and the player is clearly offside ya clown!!!! He didn't "read it" on the halfway line at all!! Wtf was Robertson thinking about plus his touch and lack of awareness was unbelievably poor - dispossessed at crucial moments late on in the game!! Clarke also not "out the woods" with his starting line up, system/shape and choice of certain players - WE CAN PLAY MUCH BETTER THAN THIS WITH A BETTER LINE UP!! They were "up for it" and naturally so, but where was the solid structure, the organisation, the commitment that are the hallmarks of Clarke's Scotland sides???? WHAT A SHAMBLES ALBEIT IN A VERY DIFFICULT MATCH, INDEED A UNIQUE ONE TO HANDLE AS A PLAYER!! They failed that test!!

Yep! A great show of respect for an oppressed, war torn country - a vg pre-match show of solidarity and support. The Dnipro orphans who attended the match would've loved the whole game and electric atmosphere plus post match joy!! Scotland sadly out of another World Cup tourney AGAIN!! Believe it or not, I attended the last successful WC qualifying match v Sweden at Ibronx in 1997 when we luckily progressed to France '98 as Sweden hit Scotland's posts about four times in that match - proves Lady Luck can make a difference in matches like this one!! Twenty four years is far too long an absence, a disgrace TBH!! And we are still waiting for it to end after many changes to the way we coach our kids, introduction of football academies etc etc!!
