The first keeper I saw at the Albion was Jock Wallace but the one i really remember from those years was Millington. I thought he was terrific RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 18-10-2021 All correct this afternoon, just one (fairly recent) name left. RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 18-10-2021 Not very good at this but will take a stab in the dark. 22. Scott Sinclair RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 19-10-2021 That's the one! RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - talkSAFT - 19-10-2021 Phew! Not Colin Scartits then. RE: WBA vs Birmingham & Swansea - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 19-10-2021 (19-10-2021, 09:18)talkSAFT Wrote: Phew! Not Colin Scartist then. Nah, he played for Wrexham. Never to be seen again. I suppose most of us old fogies will remember, for obvious reasons, with affection John Osbourne but IMHO the best keeper in that era subsequently was Tony Godden. I thought Godden was excellent and a brilliant shot stopper; I felt he was not great at coming for high balls but if you've got Wile and Robertson in front of you, why bother! |
