RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - Amelia Chaffinch - 20-05-2021 Don't worry, we 'll change him into a crap player. RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - theo_luddite - 20-05-2021 From Keighley - will he be able to doss down at his mum's then? Bless. RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - Lord Snooty - 20-05-2021 Great signing. In Phil we trust. ![]() RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - theo_luddite - 20-05-2021 If he's as good at the back as Hoggy can be in muddled field on a good day, then he'll do. Or Schindy at his best. hmmmmmmm!! If he can head the ball away from oppositions free kicks and corners it will be a start. When was the last time we did that consistently? He's over the moon, Brian. Doesn't appear to be sick as a parrot, just yet. Great bunch of lads. Every football cliche ever known just rolls off his tongue. Perfick for Match of the Day and EFL on Quest interviews. Bostin ower kid ![]() https://www.htafc.com/news/2021/may/first-interview-with-matty-pearson/ RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - Lord Snooty - 20-05-2021 Luton fans are gutted at the news, which is usually a good sign of what a player we have signed. ![]() RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - theo_luddite - 20-05-2021 Could be another good'un from sarf of Watfud Gap services. If he's the bench mark hopefully the rest are higher and not somewhere between him an what I expect to be a very disappointing Jordan Rhodes. I once wrote something like this - possibly not on this forum Jordan Rhodes, take us home To the place, we belong, In the Premier, want to be there, Take us home, Jordan Rhodes. when we were in League 1 (or whatever it was called back then). l'll let you guess the tune - or you could try and ask John Denver (if he was still around). Rhodes buggered off to Blackburn shortly afterwards anyway so it was never gonna happen. Doubt I'll sing it much this coming season either. ![]() RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - Amelia Chaffinch - 21-05-2021 https://www.htafc.com/news/2021/may/signing-jordan-rhodes-to-return/ Rhodes coming back for 3 seasons RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - Lord Snooty - 21-05-2021 Jordan Rhodes Welcome home To the place You belong To the Premier With the Terriers Welcome home Jordan Rhodes ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - theo_luddite - 21-05-2021 I'm not in the least bit surprised, but I'm not in the least bit whelmed. Underwhelmed? Abso-bloody-lootly. 3 seasons? He's 31. Really? Who's taking the pee out of who here? None of the Prima Donna League top lot give 3 year contracts to anyone his age. One year at a time sweet-be-jaysus. There is a good reason for this. What time do Sports Direct shut? I'm off for a pair of new boots if they are offering him 3 years!!! RE: HTFC Summer Transfer News - St Charles Owl - 21-05-2021 I have to say I am surprised you took Rhodes back!! For sure if you get quality balls into the box he can get on the end of them, but these days he offers little else!! Maybe thats all you need is for him to poach goals but he looks a shadow of the player you had before, nowhere near as quick as he was and even lethargic at times. He has scored less than 20 goals for us in over 100 appearances, I wish him well but I hope you are not expecting lightning to strike twice, that 2011/12 season seems to have been the pinnacle of his career. |
