RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - Stairs - 03-07-2017 Sigh of relief - John Terry signs for Villa. A good move for Villa as he'll help develop the kids and put in a good shift, But not someone I'd want at West Brom. They've really mugged us off on the fee considering his injury record in the last 3 years. I think if you read between the lines we would not get a work permit for him at the moment as China are outside the top 50 on Fifa's World rankings In Two years time China probably will be or at least the two years in Germany will allow us to get a permit one way or another in 2019 ![]() Also the biggest talent in China for years ............. Apparently ![]() Already capped 9 times for China !! West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Chinese international striker Zhang Yuning. The 20-year-old forward, considered one of China's hottest young prospects, has signed a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. Capped nine times by China, Yuning will have to wait to make his Baggies bow having immediately joined Bundesliga side Werder Bremen on loan for two years owing to work permit issues. Yuning's arrival from Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem furthers Albion's Chinese links in a deal described as a "development project" by the Club. Richard Garlick, Albion's Director of Football Administration, flew to Germany this week to tie up the details of the three-club deal. "Zhang will get the chance to further develop at Bremen, with whom we have an excellent relationship," Garlick said. "He will be challenging for a place in a top European league and we will be monitoring his progress before reassessing his prospects at the end of the loan period. Terry to villa not us ...... brilliant signing for us. He may be good at that level even better if he keeps playing for villa at that level for two or three years ...... championship level RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - Beefy 1965 - 03-07-2017 Well we offer £12 for Iborra and guess what ? On the verge of joining Leicester for £14 million all over twitter FFS Still don't worry Marc Wilson joining us permanently for £1 million you heard it here first ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - Beefy 1965 - 03-07-2017 Meanwhile more bad news re; Carvalho According to Portuguese daily A Bola, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash on Carvalho and teammate Gelson Martins in a £70m double swoop. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - Salopbaggie - 03-07-2017 I know I am getting older and my eyesight is not what it was, but is it just me who is worried about telling Morrison and Rodriguez apart from one end of the field to the other? ![]() ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - drewks - 03-07-2017 (03-07-2017, 17:38)Salopbaggie Wrote: I know I am getting older and my eyesight is not what it was, but is it just me who is worried about telling Morrison and Rodriguez apart from one end of the field to the other? .....why 2 pictures of Mozza then Salop?? ![]() RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - Slick_Footwork - 04-07-2017 Looks like Iborra is going to Leicester... Gutted with this, actually started to have a bit of enthusiasm after this link and it's been completely sucked out of me. The realisation is setting in that we're only going to get players that nobody else wants, as usual. RE: WBA 2017/18 Summer Transfer Window (3 July) - WBA-Josh - 04-07-2017 Well that sucks a giant bag of dicks. http://www.barryanddistrictnews.co.uk/sport/15388697.Sevilla_announce_agreement_with_Leicester_over_sale_of_Vicente_Iborra/ It would be typical Albion however if our first choice target is another midfielder such as Ignacio Camacho and Iborra was our back up option. Regarding Rodriguez I am hoping that we have signed him as a left winger who can play as a striker if required. I'm thinking a midfield 4 of Phillips, Yacob/New signing, Livermore and Rodriguez with Chadli playing behind the lone striker would give us the right balance between attack and defence. |
