RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (09 July) Championship Rebuild - Dingle-Dingle - 14-07-2018 Well that`s Chadli injured for the season ahead.......... DD ![]() ![]() RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (09 July) Championship Rebuild - Zinman - 14-07-2018 (13-07-2018, 20:57)Phil Penn Wrote:(13-07-2018, 20:32)Zinman Wrote: Where do you get your £95m? I believe the parachute payment for this year is £40m - which just about equates to your estimate of our wage bill. Secondly, yes Lai could appoint himself as an employee of the club and pay himself a massive salary....and pay a huge amount of tax. This would also be apparent from the company's accounts. If he had wanted to do this why didn't he last year? Or, he could declare a dividend (we haven't paid a dividend for about 15 years) - again, if he wanted to (and it would also need to be paid to the minority shareholders) why hasn't he previously done so? Albion's financial year end is 30th June. The parachute payment dates - the only thing I could find is the final payment is made in February? (Dingles had last years on the 18th of Feb) Cant find how many staged payments are made or scheduled payment dates? With our ST sales (est 4.5M) and our 1st parachute payment, I hope that clears our overdraft - difficult to say, as the only reference is "A small overdraft" from Jenkins. Depends what he thinks that is? If a % is paid early in the season it may help AV through another hoop. RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (09 July) Championship Rebuild - Blue Baggie - 15-07-2018 What is the thoughts on Graeme Jones becoming Big Dave's assistant. Would explain as to why the appointment was delayed? It was never going to be early if it dependent on Belgium being knocked out of tournament. I'm guessing he would want a break following the WC so announcement not as yet? It may just be media gossip who knows? Obviously DM and DJ have history and Chadli is another link? RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (16 July) Championship Rebuild - WBA-Josh - 16-07-2018 Kyle Bartley has signed. https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2018/july/bartley-signs-for-albion/ RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (16 July) Championship Rebuild - Beefy 1965 - 16-07-2018 (16-07-2018, 11:49)WBA-Josh Wrote: Kyle Bartley has signed. Good news if he stays fit will be a good acquisition, Bit disappointed I didn't get a notification of the club or twitter I signed up for ![]() RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (16 July) Championship Rebuild - WBA-Josh - 16-07-2018 His injury record is hit and miss but his season came for Leeds in 2016/2017 in the Championship so if he can keep himself fit, he could be a quality player for us. So now in the centre of defence we have replaced McAuley with Fitzwater, Evans with Bartley and now it comes down to whether Dawson stays or goes. If he stays then I think we’ll be sorted in the centre of defence, if he goes then he must be replaced properly. RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (16 July) Championship Rebuild - Beefy 1965 - 16-07-2018 West Bromwich Albion have already bolstered their backline by signing Sam Johnstone and Kyle Bartley. But, according to reports , they are now in for Huddersfield Town defender Michael Hefele, who is set to enter the final year of his contract. The 27-year-old German centre-half has fallen behind Christopher Schindler and Zanka in the Terriers pecking order in the Premier League and David Wagner is willing to cash in on him now rather than losing him for nothing next summer. Despite the new arrivals, Darren Moore is keen to further strengthen the Baggies defence. Albion sold Jonny Evans to Leicester City this summer and released Gareth McAuley, while Craig Dawson and Ahmed Hegazi's futures are still uncertain. Only 4 games last season and speculation of injuries ? knees and troublesome Achilles? He has scored a few goals for a CH (see wiki) Seals also looking at him. Don't know enough about the guy to comment apart from above. RE: WBA 2018/19 Xfer Window - (16 July) Championship Rebuild - WBA-Josh - 16-07-2018 Another one is in. https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2018/july/baggies-bag-bond/ Seemingly a back up goalkeeper for Johnstone and either Palmer or Simon Moore if he signs as number 2. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jonathan-bond/profil/spieler/130768 |
