good luck to the lad, seems to be a late bloomer

Hopefully we won't be letting our talented youngsters slip through the net under the new regime. Matt Crooks seems to be doing well with the Stanley as well. Thumb up

RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - MNTerrier - 11-11-2015

in fairness though Crooks has probably found his level, how many other youngsters who we've released have gone on to great things

We've always done it, we always will at any level. Even though we've got this super-dooper Play Station/X-Box type footie software that tracks players from kids ages upwards all over Europe, it comes down to how you use it and what you are looking for. Then there's the human element. If your face doesn't fit with the current coaching staff you're out - or as good as - no matter what the stats say.

In fairness, most clubs let a few go that they later wish they hadn't. Wenger was supposedly tearing his hair out this past week when he found out that Harry Kane had been at Arsenal as a kid.

I just think it was an odd decision to let Windass go so early, given his dad's scoring record.

Worrabart that then, ritchiebaby?  Big Grin

Join the queue, Snooty. He'd scored in each of his last 7 games until last night, when he missed several sitters. Fit into the Town team no problem. Whistle
