RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 02-02-2015 Happy we has brought McGugan back, he showed some good promise when he was with us before. This certainly shows that we are not relying on Hutch or Lee in midfield, plenty of competition for places in that area now. To make full use though he will have to play 451, which may not be a bad thing!! RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Owlkev71 - 02-02-2015 Mcgugan has played on the wing b4, but u wud imagine he will be pla Mcgugan has played on the wing b4, but u wud imagine he will be playing cm mainly. Hutch, Baker, Lee, Seme and Barry, perm any 2 or 3 from them 5. Maybe he's going with 3 cm from now on??? RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Thurnscoe_OWL - 02-02-2015 I'd line up something like Westwood new bloke, Lees, Loovens, Helan Semedo, Lee, McGugan Maghoma, Maguire xxxx KNOWS?? RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 02-02-2015 I don't want to see Maguire anywhere near the team with the 5 other midfielders we now have!!! Hutch, Lee, Semedo, Baker and Barry should all be ahead of him. No problem playing Mags behind the strikers but he may also be a casualty as well. RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - peiowl - 02-02-2015 Imre is trying to bribe me. ![]() Well, I don't negotiate with his kind. I take a hard liners approach. ![]() So, my first sanction is not to "like" any more of his posts. ![]() If he keeps that red and white signature up about me, I'll ratchet it up a notch. ![]() I'll persuade SCO to let me do a game thread and guess who'll be muppetted??? ![]() RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 02-02-2015 Maguire and Maghoma are surely the casualties in all this?? Assuming Palmer stays, and there are no rumours out there from what I have seen, the team for me would be: Westwood Palmer Loovens Lees Helan Lee Hutchinson McGugan Baker May Bus RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 02-02-2015 You can still pass on a f ucked up pitch, its all about players getting into space to accept the pass. What we will struggle to do with the pitch is dribble or run with the ball, so without actually having any wingers on the pitch we should be more effective. RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Statesideowl - 02-02-2015 Whats going off we're signing people left and right. I agree with others here, unless this new RB is so good he walks into the squad I'm not sure of the thinking behind it. Bus might form a bright, young partnership with May. Nuhui & Madine shuffle on or keep one as a squad player, I'd really rather have an improvement and shuffle them on imo. McGug being back is nice to hear RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - Thurnscoe_OWL - 02-02-2015 I would play Maguire and Maghoma because we have no width otherwise, if we drop them both we HAVE to go 352 so we have overlapping wingbacks and enough cover. We all know we'll be 442/451 so we cant drop them Get another winger in then I'd drop Maguire definitely but at the minute we dont have the options RE: 2014-15 Second Half & January Transfer Window - St Charles Owl - 02-02-2015 As someone said earlier, McGugan has played on the wing before, and Lee is capable of playing on the other wing, where he too has previously played. |
