Well, Wisden only comes out annually but those in the profession seem to notice them that are bowled out in between one set of stumps to the other. With all the luvvies in the profession you might have thought someone would have noticed and maybe even attended the funeral (or at least been made aware of it). Hell, don't these folk also have agents?
