Keane's better, I just meant he never gets a game Laugh

Agree abut Hanley. 8M is ridiculous, We're supposed to be after British players that know the league but I doubt we'll be paying well above odd's for anyone.

I always rated Hanley in the Darren Purse category - big, solid but prone to the odd gaffe.

A bit like Loovens as well!

£8M seems a lot of money for an average Centre Back. Is there no-one knocking about in the lower leagues that has made a reputation for maybe moving up to the Championship?

I'd still like a footballing, physically imposing, centre midfielder to bolster the squad.

dont know why we didnt sign sasso ? i thought he was coming on well and he would step in without the hassle !

RE: Ins & Outs 2016 - Statesideowl - 19-07-2016

Thought we should sign Sasso too, especially as there's extra space getting rid of Dielna.

Lewis Dunk from Brighton.

I can't believe a club run by Dave Allen would do such a thing Doh

Chesterfield have apologised to fans after the winning entry in a competition to follow the team on their pre-season tour of Hungary was faked.

Supporters of the League One club had been invited to enter a £20 raffle.

"Surrey-based Spireite James Higgins" was declared the winner but, in an online article later deleted, the club said he had been too ill to travel.

Director Ashley Carson apologised to the four supporters who entered, and said a full review will be held.

Carson added the "winning entry was not legitimate" and the information supplied to the club's communications department had "clearly been falsified".

"The club has a zero-tolerance approach to such misleading activities and we remain committed to supporting our supporters on every level, which includes transparency and clear communications," said Carson.

"Following the internal review, disciplinary action will be taken."

The club declined to comment further when contacted by BBC Sport.

Four people entered a £20 a pop raffle run by some muppets and it was fake or the result was or something, was it run by the club or a seperate party? How come only four people entered, did the rest smell a rat or is that the entire support of Chezzie now.

Has anyone else resigned themselves to only seeing a bunch of last minute loans now ? Doh

We're going to be signing UK players, or players with experience within the UK, I believe. I think there was an article a couple of weeks ago from CC saying to not expect an influx of players, especially foreign.

Hull apparently trying to trigger Westwoods release clause.

We're linked with Wigan's Max Power.

DC also made a statement a few das ago, that the reason our ticket prices are so high are so we can keep within FFP. So that alone should mean a few million will be spent at some point.
