our losses were £5m two seasons ago

Our home gates have been down this season compared to last and that must be having some affect, but players wages must still be at least the same or even less considering we let so many go and didn't replace them??

RE: Sheff Weds 2014-15 - The First Half - Thurnscoe_OWL - 17-11-2014

It isn't for this season, it's for last season. Wages last season were probably up on the season before.

I'd hazard a guess at wages this season being up on last as well.

We have lost Gardner & Taylor who were on £12k per week and Prutton, Llera & Antonio who were on £8k per week.

Kirklands wages have gone up to £15k, the same level as Westwood, Loovens & Lees. I guess Kirland will leave next summer.

we've also added May's wages which makes this years wages more than those of released/sold players

I'd take either of those. Just need some supply from midfield first Doh

RE: Sheff Weds 2014-15 - The First Half - St Charles Owl - 18-11-2014

No Thurnscoe, we just need some supply from midfield AS WELL!!!

While we are not creating a lot of chances, the ones we have created have been missed, sure some are half chances but some should have been put away. A striker and midfielder is needed.

RE: Sheff Weds 2014-15 - The First Half - Thurnscoe_OWL - 18-11-2014

agree imre. Bring the creativity in and May will score. I don't think any of our strikers have that many opportunities. Our wingers either want to try it themselves from range or pass backwards. Our CM are all defensive.

Nuhiu gets the ball to stick up front but we have no one in midfield with an attacking brain to get up there and either pick the right pass into May or beat a player and get a good cross in.

RE: Sheff Weds 2014-15 - The First Half - St Charles Owl - 18-11-2014

I'm not convinced even having Shezza and Waddle in the side would see Nuhiu score that many!!! May moves all over the place because the ball isn't coming to him and as a consequnce more of our chances have fallen to Nuhiu instead of May. We need a creative midfielder, no doubt about that, but we also need a striker who can compliment May and also knows where the net is himself!! Cole for me would fit that role better than Blackstock, but either would imo improve us.

As regards the midfielder, bit worrying that we are not being linked with anyone at all, we have to have someone in there.
