Last Season Rangers often fell short due to inept tactics, something I do not expect to occur this Season.
As ever, 'time will tell', but that is my opinion on this matter.
There is a lot to be optimistic about so far, regarding the transition from old manager to new. A refocussing on youth - which many fans have been shouting for for years - and a training regime which seems to be concentrating on core fitness combined with pace, and a playing style that appears to be progressive and modern.
With the younger players from last season (Walsh, Murdoch, Hardie etc.) now being that bit older and more mature, they maybe will get the chance to show what they are about, and the forgotten youths (McKay, Aird and Crawford etc.) could be ready to make their mark too.
The resurgence - under the new regime - of senior players like Law, Wallace and Shiels cannot be ruled out either.
Combine all that with the boost of new players to the squad - including the captain of last season's league winners - and more to arrive yet, would suggest that things will be very positive this season.
Now I'm not going to say that we're going to walk this league. We don't know enough yet to make a claim like that. I know for a fact that I'm not as daft as some f*cked-up troll who says that we're going to win nothing this season, though.

To be fair the management team have very little pedigree!!! Warburton has managed just one club and yes he did achieve promotion but it has often been said it was Uwe Roslers team, but he also followed that up with a very good run in the Championship last season. David Weir has virtually no pedigree at all, one failure as a manager but some decent work as a coach. The fact he is the No2 probably puts him in the right spot for him to be fair.
I like Warburton, I like what he did at Brentford and I like the way he uses a lot of analysis to determine how to line up and what the opposition will or won't do. He is very methodical and prepared so there will be no excuses for the players regarding preparation. I actually hoped he would be considered for our managers position but that wasn't to be. I do also think that he is a bit of a risk for Rangers given his lack of experience, especially at a club with high expectations but I do think he is a risk worth taking.

Jordan Thompson, formerly of Manchester United has been added to the growing ranks of the development squad. We're looking increasingly well catered for at that level, although obviously as with any signing none of these guys are guaranteed to be a success.
Not so keen on the touted signings from Wigan personally. Tavernier is OK, but I don't know if he's worth a large sum of money, while Waghorn is exactly the 3 goal a season type that we really don't need. If we do seriously go after these guys I hope they've got something in their locker that their history doesn't make apparent.
