RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - Lord Snooty - 21-12-2014 Yes. Time for Vaughan and Wells to play together. Holt has done a good job for us but he's leaving soon. Stick him on the bench. Powell has to be more positive. The subs were far too late in the game. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - TerrierTim - 21-12-2014 Going down ? - what do ya reckon ? or are we going to trott out the usual 13alls that "we are too good to go down" and players need to "step up and give 110%" Need some fresh faces to liven the place up. Out with the old and in with the new - contentious but get Vaughan fit and get him offloaded ! - he is a five star passenger on our "Calder and Hebble Narrowboat" - demands the star treatment gives nowt in return. (I wonder if Mark Lillis picks out all the blue smarties for him at half-time) Time to get a grip Mr Powell or we will fall through the trap door faster than a fat Widow Twankey at a pantomine Luv Tim RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 21-12-2014 Can anybody please tell me how many minutes it has taken Vaughan to rack up 5 yellows. Must be a record for sure. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - ARTERRIER - 21-12-2014 Awful, truly bloody awful. Nothing positive about Town to say, probably the best town player was Hogg and he weren't right good. Powell needs to knock this one up front bollocks on the head and lets try and win games from the off rather than fannying about trying to keep it tight and grind out a 0-0 draw against a team that is worse the we are. Its crap, just plain crap, sort it Powell. Must be a record for sure. Six appearances, five yellows. Yes. That must be a record, because most of those appearances weren't starts either. And the ones he started, he didn't finish. Ridiculous. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - jjamez - 21-12-2014 i know we feel like we need 2 up top, but i really do feel that a 4-2-3-1 suits us to the ground. the advanced three are just that, the middle man can be wells butterfield or majewski. the wide men are there to get the ball whipped in the box. attacking is their main role as the two deeper midfielders act as the cover RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - Lord Snooty - 21-12-2014 It didn't suit us yesterday though because the supporting players weren't getting forward quickly enough and Holt was just throwing himself to the floor in an Alan Lee style. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - jjamez - 21-12-2014 yesterday seemed like it was more of a 4-5-1/ 4-3-3. either way holt was isolated. in a 4-2-3-1 we would be playing with 4 up top when attacking and 2/3 when defending, it's what could be called a very aggresive defensive formation, its one of the only formations that suits us as we are adamant on playing coady hogg and buttercup and out of them three I dont know who would play in a midfield two should we play 4-4-2, coady and hogg would be two defensive and the gaps would appear before kick off, hogg and butterfield would be a awkward as hogg would be required to do the running and butts would become a passenger, coady and butts would be the two i put together and even then i'd have to say it would be a diamond formation. but still i do believe that 4-2-3-1 is our formation, one of the two deeper mids sweeps up in front of the back line, wins the ball and moves it, the other is the workhorse- he runs and he runs, he gets the ball and shifts it. the wide men of the three are wingers, out and out wingers, they attack and get the ball in the box. the middle man looks for the ball in and around their final third and moves it wide, then gets himself in and around the area. the one uptop stays up top, but doesnt get isolated as whenever we defend, there's him and one other left up there. the advanced three take it in turns to go back. obviously this is what I feel is right going by our players and what we would have on the bench RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 21-12-2014 (21-12-2014, 13:50)Lord Snooty Wrote:(21-12-2014, 11:11)JUSTASILLYOLDGIT Wrote: Can anybody please tell me how many minutes it has taken Vaughan to rack up 5 yellows. I'm missing a league game, and am guessing he got a yellow in that. Adding up time on the pitch 171mins, less than 2 games! I've got him playing against Charlton, Forest(cup), Watford, Middlesbro, Brum. Who am I missing, and how long did he play, for his 5th yellow? Just to complete this embarrassing stat! RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - jjamez - 21-12-2014 he played in a dev game did he not? |
