RE: Stoke away match thread - WakeyTerrier - 21-11-2020 Should’ve got something from that but when you defend like schoolboys at times then you end up with nothing. Stearman is a walking disaster at times. Hogg still looks massively uncomfortable on the ball Campbell, well let’s just leave it at that. On the positive side. Toffolo still looks good Eiting had his best match yet. Mbenza had a good 60mins or so RE: Stoke away match thread - jjamez - 21-11-2020 Never play perreria again would be a huge starting point RE: Stoke away match thread - Lord Snooty - 22-11-2020 Every team needs a good goalkeeper. Ben Hamer has been excellent this season, but most fans wouldn't have had him anywhere near the starting XI this season, especially after that cock up in the pre season match against Man Utd's kids. I think most fans would've given Perreira the thumbs up for the first game, despite what we had heard from Hearts fans. We would be in the bottom three again but for Ben's saves. When you only win matches by a single goal, a good keeper is essential. Yesterday, we didn't. We scored three goals, all well worked. They scored four very preventable goals. All well taken goals but three of them were straight at Perreira, one of them even went through his legs. The own goal wasn't his fault. Yes it was a bad pass that went straight to their man but he shouldn't have been given the ball in the first place, under pressure. Stearman ought to have whacked it forward. I know it's Carlos telling them to play that way but if you're getting pressed as aggressively as Stoke were doing, sometimes you just have to ignore what the coach says. And if the coach doesn't like it, he needs to get better ball playing defenders and goalkeepers into the squad. So who gets the shirt at Wycombe? Perreira or Schofield? And how many matches is Big Ben out for? Having now seen the highlights, maybe I was a bit harsh on our new keeper. The first one took a deflection and the fourth came through a lot of bodies. I'd still go with young Schofield at Wycombe though. RE: Stoke away match thread - WakeyTerrier - 22-11-2020 I’ve no doubt Perreira will retain the goalkeeping spot at Wycombe. What we need to do is protect him better, and that means making better choices with the ball. When we are under pressure just launch it, turn the opposition round and then do what Stoke did yesterday with the high press RE: Stoke away match thread - Lord Snooty - 22-11-2020 RE: Stoke away match thread - Lord Snooty - 22-11-2020 Quiz Results:
