RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - ARTERRIER - 13-09-2014 Big crowd, you know what happens when we get in a big crowd? RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - Lord Snooty - 13-09-2014 Tsch! Yeah. ![]() RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - Lord Snooty - 13-09-2014 Well that were a right pisser. ![]() RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - ARTERRIER - 13-09-2014 Christ, that was so so disappointing, we were bloody awful. Total backward step from what we were like under Lillis. Round pegs in round holes said Powell so why play 2 players out if position in your first game in charge? Peltier is not a midfielder nor is Butterfield a bloody winger. We lacked some serious width today and far too much long ball smashed aimlessly up the pitch. Why no Scannell? Positives? Hudson, thought he was excellent and Stead, whilst he ain't the future, he played well today and looks a lot better than he did last season, which wouldn't have been hard. Hopefully Powell will learn from today and we won't have anymore shite performances like today. RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - Denners - 13-09-2014 Hi All, just got back to Northampton. What a miserable day out that was! 1st game this season for me and what a disappointment. I would have thought we'd have gone for it and if we'd have lost 3-4 then so be it. But to be so pathetic in attack was criminal. Powell needs to figure out a few things and fast. Am bemused that he hasn't already to be honest. Hudson should be club captain. Played well and only positive for me today. Peltier shouldve played RB. He's not a holding midfielder IMO. Why pick Coady, Pelts, Bunn & Butterfield in a midfield four? I nearly died when I saw the teamsheet. No imagination or creativity on show today. Why not play 2 of those 4 in central midfield and pick either Ward, Lolley, Hammill, Scannell, Majewski on the flanks. The Boro full backs never had it so easy. Vaughan needs replacing. Too much of a liability for a smallish club like us to accommodate. Great player when fit - just never fit. Ref wasn't the best and was always going to give the pen. It was a blatatnt shirt pull from where I was sat. However, if that's a pen, then all corners and free kicks should result in pens too. Come on Powell - be positive and attack. Don't put us all to sleep! RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - ARTERRIER - 13-09-2014 No one else been to game today ir is every on too traumatised to comment? RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - Amelia Chaffinch - 13-09-2014 Yes was there. Square pegs round holes. We were pretty much agreed that he'd have been better listening to Mark Lillis about this. Alex Smithies. alright he didn't have a great deal to do, mainly due to the good performances of Hudson and Lynch. But when he was called upon, he was quick and decisive. Especially when Hudson did make a mistake, letting their attacker get around him, Alex was quickly out to smother the ball. I wasn't happy that we had no width whatsoever to the team until Lolley and Ward came on and hey presto, Wardy delivers, Steadinho scores. We have loads of wingers, Chris. Please use them. Talking of which. Where was Hammill today. And Majewski. Injured? OMG! Is that true? We haven't won at home since we stuffed Barnsley 5-0 in March. ![]() RE: Town v Middlesbrough 13/9/14 - town in essex - 14-09-2014 (14-09-2014, 00:18)Lord Snooty Wrote: One man who had been utterly shite under Robins stood out as man of the match today.
