Maguire had one of his best games this season against Wigan so should keep his place. [Image: thumbup.gif] Maybe being dropped has given him a kick up the arse? Huh We can only hope the same happens to Maghoma Doh

Yes he did, but still overall we could do much better in the position if only we had some competition in the squad!! Still think Maguire should not be out on the wing anyway, square peg and all that!! He should be sat in the hole behind the front two but we know SG is never going to do that!!

As for Maghoma, whether he has had the kick up the arse we may never know because I can't see SG dropping Maguire or Drenthe to give him a chance anyway!!

It all depends on Drentthe keeping up the performances and/or Maghoma hitting the ground running when/if he gets sub apps

Watford hammer Fulham 5-0 at the Cottage tonight!! Keeps Fulham down below us and puts a real dent in their GD! Is the new manager honeymoon syndrome over for them or is this just a blip??

I think Maguire is living off the end of last season still. He hasn't pushed on to better things like we hoped he would. His free kicks and corners are generally no where near good enough!! As for Lee and McGugan, they will get their shot this weekend with Semedo being out, so its up to them to prove they deserve the shirt.

We dont have any proper wingers. Antonio was our only real winger & he has gone. Maguire, Lavery, Maghoma & Drenthe all play better in the centre & Helan is a converted full back.

Maguire had a hot spell of about eight matches just after SG took over but his performances fell away long before the end of last season but this was masked by him scoring several penalties. Interestingly, he plays better at S6 but terrible away whereas Maghoma is the opposite; his best performances are away but less impressive at home. The result, Maguire has a good game at home so is picked away (where he is no good) so he is dropped for Maghoma at home (where he is less good).

interesting to see how we far against Ben10, Rhodes and Gestede today. Hopefully we can shut them out.

Watching the Geordies beating the Special one 2-0 then the ref,Martin Atkinson, evens it up by sending Steven Taylor off and xxxx Chelski score to go 2-1.Premiership my arse.
