Group stages now done and dusted as our last 8 are revealed.
Group A was far from being high scoring, but what it lacked in points it made up for in drama as all 4 ended within 3 points of each other. Sanjay & Bomber were the 2 to go through to the knockout stages as themaclad failed to hold onto his advantage while BBB couldn't quite peg back his deficit from previous weeks.
BaggieOne was far and away the clearest winner of the 4 groups and duly took his place in the last 8 where he was joined by Joker who equally qualified with ease. The championships runaway leader Twerton can now concentrate on cementing his promotion while Mightybrom was never at the races over the 4 weeks
Comfortably through from Group C go AAA and Zinman whose recent upturn in form has coincided with the cup weeks. The bottom 3 from the Premiership fill the bottom 3 places in the group table too - only in reverse - Beefy actually has somebody underneath him (there's a first time for everything) while last years winner SCO and Derby can now concentrate on trying to preserve their top league status
Despite struggling at the foot of the Championship,Stairs has left his league form behind him to comfortably qualify for the 1/4 finals where he's joined by a rejuvenated Amelia who has hit some spectacular form at the right time. LadyJane continues her recent woes in both league & cup while Snooty added only 5 points in the last 3 weeks of the group stages.
2 legged quarter finals kick off with week 25 scores used

Well you can't win them all as they say considering i didn't know i was in it - at first.
Having Beefy on top of you must be more of a crushing defeat. !!

I am amazed and only can put my luck down to not being aware of which weeks were contributing to this.
But now I know week 25 is the key week I will give my predicting more rigour and will fail spectacularly

I figured it was time to let another member of the committee have a chance of winning the Cup!!!!
I used to fight the US spelling and change things back but gave up many years ago now!!!

Early leads after the 1st legs for Zinman, Amelia, Bomber & Stairs.
All to play for though when the 2nd legs come around using week 27 scores - as long as Joker turns up
