RE: WBA vs Luton & Reading - WBA-Josh - 21-08-2019 6th on 8 points after 4 matches is a decent start to this season and now Zohore is off the mark. It must not be forgotten that we’re still a work in progress at the moment. RE: WBA vs Luton & Reading - Beefy 1965 - 21-08-2019 Be glad when Hegazi is back !!! RE: WBA vs Luton & Reading - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 21-08-2019 Four points from these two was the target for me, and I'm pleased we've done it. This was a scrappy one from start to finish, and to be honest it had "smash-and-grab away win" written all over it, but it was good to see Zohore keep his nerve and slot the penalty away (I was fearing the worst). Can't help but feel that in the absence of a proper goal-poacher like Gayle, we're going to get a lot of these kind of home games where the visitors show up and just frustrate us. RE: WBA vs Luton & Reading - Blue Baggie - 22-08-2019 We're not playing well atm, understanding between the players is clearly lacking. Plenty for Bilic to work on at the training ground. However we have picked up 8 points which is good considering. We need a comfortable win IMO to settle everyone down. Focus on playing football not thinking on if and where to play the play, we have little fluidity, far to stuttery. Some players should be coming off the bench not starting atm. Bilic is on a steep learning curve, a lot more improvement is still not come from this team. RE: WBA vs Luton & Reading - Baggie_One - 22-08-2019 Personally, watching the first 15 mins I thought we played really well, great tempo. Not many long balls which is different, actually using our midfield. Even from the back, no more tippy tappy give the ball away like last season. Yes, we miss a natural poacher like gayle, but it will happen. Krovinovic looks composed on the ball and when Pereira came on he looks more than a handful, very skillful. RE: WBA vs Luton & Reading - Northwalesbaggie - 22-08-2019 I watched the game on Sky. First half was OK. Better 2nd Half. Pereira made a huge difference when he came on. Linked well with Krovinovic. Is it time for both to start a game together?. Personally i'd like to see that. It was very disappointing the way the goal was conceded. No one closed the him down. Even in my playing days (amateur level) i was always told to close the man down..don't give him time. Overall 8 point from 3 games is not bad but not automatic promotion material. Still many more games to play. |
