RE: The Big Kick Off - Lord Snooty - 06-08-2019 We're still missing that killer touch. That final pass. Diakhaby's pace is phenomenal but his brain and his feet aren't anywhere near fast enough to keep up. Once they do catch up though, he'll be a bloody good player. Hope it happens soon. I think Flo had his best game in ages. Kept bombing forward, getting into good positions but like I said before, that final pass not getting there. Kongolo has to go centre back. We need him there, so a new left back needed. That lad that Derby played there tonight would be ideal. We were awash with left backs last year. Where are they all now? Disappointed in Juninho tonight. That was his worst game in a Town shirt. Hope his injury isn't too bad. Grant ran his socks off, but didn't get the service. Sounds familiar. Pritchard ran his socks off too. Great shot early on. Had that gone in, we would've had a completely different match. It's only day one. Lots to look forward to. RE: The Big Kick Off - WakeyTerrier - 06-08-2019 Pretty horrendous first half. Lucky not to give a penalty away in the first minute when the ball struck Elphick on the arm. Then we gifted them the opener, put it in the stand lad, get the basics right before anything else. Midfield trio of Hogg,Mooy and Bacuna MIA,Derby cut through us every time they had the ball which resulted in a great save by our Keeper and a couple of central free kicks when the got the wrong side of the three mentioned above. Second half much better but the damage had already been done. Much more on the front foot, but please let’s not play Pritchard on the wing, he doesn’t affect the game enough out wide Schindler should’ve done better at the far post and Kachunga couldn’t have done any worse if he had tried. 5/10 RE: The Big Kick Off - jjamez - 06-08-2019 There just felt to be something missing. A spark. I felt we looked a slight bit better with the change of formation in the 2nd half. But it's the same old problems every week and has been for the last couple of years, even in the promotion season. Maybe it's the players? RE: The Big Kick Off - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 06-08-2019 Watching that last night, I'd say anything could happen this season.......well, anything but promotion that is !!! ![]() RE: The Big Kick Off - SHEP_HTAFC - 07-08-2019 Completely outplayed 1st half. Deserved to be losing. 2nd half much better.....should have equalised....bloody Kachunga !! Nothing too negative from me.....Derby did nowt 2nd half and we did boss it. Just worrying that 1st half capitulation. Trouble is/good thing (take your pick) about the Championship is that you don't get too long to dwell on any games. Onwards and upwards. RE: The Big Kick Off - theo_luddite - 07-08-2019 Watched it in the pub - it wasn't much better with 4 pints of beer and a packet of crisps to wash it down with. |
