Seems the brown envelopes have been handed out to the linesmen - yet again after the Andre Mariner farce last season, seemed Costa was clearly offside.
Angry

Lucky not to be 4 down by now. The goal looked offside (I didn't see a replay), but our defending is awful.

Have Foster to thank for keeping it reasonable.

RE: Chelsea vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 22-11-2014

Costa was offside but Wisdom didn't help matters by not getting out quick enough. Wisdom's positioning sense at right back continues to let him down.

We are defending too compactly at the moment. Defending compactly is a good thing to do when playing a team who like to work the ball through the middle, which is what Chelsea like to do, but it is giving Hazard so much space out wide on our right side, their left, and Wisdom against Hazard is a big mismatch.

Good marking Sessegnon. Doh

Well, that second goal was absolutely pathetic.

We almost conceded a goal in the second minute after switching off
from a corner and didn't learn at all.

That's all you need when playing against a good side - giving them
goals.

This looks like it's going to be a cricket score.

This could be embarrassing !   Doh

Frightened to death of them. F****** sh*te! Can't stand the new Chelsea fans and their crap songs anymore. Now down to 10-men so I'll take the dog a loooong walk now.

Never a sending off, are all the planets aligned against us?

RE: Chelsea vs WBA - Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 22-11-2014

Harsh red card, he did get the ball but the two footed lunge is what got him sent off!! Damage limitation time!!

RE: Chelsea vs WBA - Match Thread - Salopbaggie - 22-11-2014

Absolutely, never a sending off got the ball straight no contact with the player other than them diving over the top, be good to see it later, how much as this ref been paid if it was the way I saw it?

surprised that was not hand ball by Forster inside his six yard box

RE: Chelsea vs WBA - Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 22-11-2014

Shown a ton of replays over here and the commentators agree that while it was harsh, going in with a two footed lunge is reckless!! Certainly wouldn't have been a red 10 years ago, but now two footed lunges seem to always attract a red card!!
