I then planned to work in Solihull and go to the match. But now have to have calls with the US and so can’t attend.

I will be sat in my study plugged into a video conference call with my iPad playing the match next to the monitor. They (the US guys) are going to see very strange reactions and facial expressions at odd moments during the meeting Laugh

Memories. I was living in the US during one of our promotion seasons and had a meeting in my office during the vital match at home to Sheff Wed. I had my computer on the BBC text commentary out of site of everyone else but when Brunty fired in the equaliser late on I couldn't stop myself from celebrating. Cue some explaining to a bunch of confused Americans.

We were on cricket tour when Albion played Port Vale in the play-Off final (all those years ago).

I had a small radio in my pocket and an ear piece running up the inside of my jumper. The captain and opposition did not know about it.

I was fielding on the boundary. When Hunt scored the first goal I screamed with joy and ran round the boundary to the confusion of everyone.

You should have been at Silly mid on and no-one would have thought anything about it Big Grin

Unchanged team.

This one is a ‘Must Win’ game if we are to stay in touch with Norwich and Leeds in the automatic promotion places.
I well remember playing Derby off the pitch at Wembley and still losing - don’t want to experience that again!
