Thought they were poor against us. They are worse today. On deadline day their fans were crowing about what great deals they'd done compared to their neighbours in Stanley Park South. Yeah, right. Look like they are playing in a treacle mine.

they arent a patch on liverpool, just like manure arent on city and arsenal on chelsea and tottenham. the sooner they realise this the better it is for them, the players and the owners.

As for us. get the shovels out we're in the bottom three again Laugh Laugh Whistle

Yup we needed points yesterday. Normally I defend our lads up front due to lack of service from behind. They had no excuses for missing what was served up on a plate yesterday.

I keep saying we miss Nahki Wells. He would've been ideal to come off the bench yesterday. If not him, we need somebody of that ilk. But in this league, they cost a lot.

I’m still surprised you let Ince go, he was very good against us yesterday and he is the sort of player who can change a game on his day.

Disappointed by Saturdays result but not really surprised.

Second season syndrome has well and truly kicked in and we've not really kicked on have we?

We huffed and puffed but it just wouldn't go in, Palace have 1 shot on goal and blamo...0-1.

I'm facing facts early, this year we are doing what we were expected to do last year. We can't compete on transfers, we certainly can't compete on wages. We're going to struggle because we aren't clinical enough. Don't get me wrong , I though we did ok on Saturday but we just don't have that player that can turn the game in our favour.

While I'm talking about players, Durm,Diakaby,Sobhi,Pritchard...whats the deal that lot? Some on the bench others out of sight.

If we keep playing like that we'll be alreet. Thought we played really well for large parts, pressed them when they had the ball, showed more attacking intent, but just lacked that bit of luck.
We lost to a fantastic goal by Zaha.....apart from that they offered little.
Mounie should have scored a couple. Mooy's shot was unlucky.
I thought Lowe had a brilliant game....that lad can cross a ball.
Hadjergonaj was at fault slightly for their goal. Shouldn't have let Zaha cut back inside.
It was a bad tackle by Zanka on Zaha.....defo yellow but I've seen reds given for those. Zaha was a yellow also imo.
I blame Herr Wagner for only bringing Depoitre on with 12 mins to go. Should have been on after 60 mins.

Overall, impressed with Town. Things are looking up.

Apparently Durm got injured in training. Sobhi still isn't fit. Pritchard was left out for tactical reasons. Those being that he's a central player and we wanted to attack Palace down the wings. Wagz says they are very strong in midfield and this is why Pritchy never came on.

And I've read this morning that we have made more crosses into the box than any other Premier League team this season.
If that's the case, we must also have the lowest conversion to goal ratio. Wink  Rolleyes  Whistle

We lost to a fantastic goal by Zaha.....apart from that they offered little. Agreed
Mounie should have scored a couple. Mooy's shot was unlucky. Mounie should be scoring but he didn't and that will  relegate us unless he finds that clinical finishing
I thought Lowe had a brilliant game....that lad can cross a ball. decent enough
Hadjergonaj was at fault slightly for their goal. Shouldn't have let Zaha cut back inside.Mooy equally at fault
It was a bad tackle by Zanka on Zaha.....defo yellow but I've seen reds given for those. Zaha was a yellow also imo Zaha should've already been in the book for showing decent when he was throwing his arms around like a baby when he showed dissent toward the ref after 'only' booking Zanka

Where I do blame Wagner is after Zaha lost his head he should've got word out to the players to say 'anyone who hasn't already kicked Zaha, get over and take it in turns'

Now that would have been very watchable! Would also have added to the "Should Zaha get more protection from refs" debate on Talkwatsits.  Big Grin  Laugh  Big Grin
