As far as I know, only the celtic and Hearts boards have ever been guilty of that in Scottish football, Fred. I'd imagine the Rangers board is more concerned about cash flows and the impact of postponing a home game. It could also affect the organisation of the AGM if we suddenly have to cram an extra home fixture some time in December.

I know ours was horrendous just McCoist seems very happy to accept that decision after his respectful to the other clubs quote from the other call off El Car,now I'm really not having a dig but team matters should be left to him and surely if so he would have followed the previous decisions he took,I can also see why the decision was made but it does kind of make him look an arse.

He can't really do much about it if they make the decision. His job is to build a team and win matches and while there's a bit of a grey area here it's ultimately up to the men controlling the finance to make sure there's money when it's needed. I think it might have been better all round if McCoist had just kept his mouth shut about it all.
