Fantastic. We (I) needed that. I lucky own goal but that's the ways it goes sometimes. Overall it sounds like we had the more chances and were the better team.

I notice Chelsea dived their way to a win against QPR. Sickening. but it helps me balance winning by an own goal - we deserve some breaks.

Yep, that's a textbook awayday. Stroke of luck with the goal, but about time. Battened down the hatches well. Ref was a complete and total homer; almost every 50/50 decision went their way, they should have been down to ten for that blatant elbow on Berahino, and he nearly gifted them an equaliser with needless Fergie time.

In other news, we need to handcuff Dawson before he goes out on the pitch. It seems the guy literally cannot jump without flinging his arms around like Tarzan. That's about the third handball he's got away with this season, on top of clobbering Speroni - albeit accidentally - last week. He'll get done for it sooner or later, because refs will be watching him now and itching to blow the whistle.

Any road, great to be back on course. Takes a bit of pressure off next week, as Newcastle have hit their usual spell of form just as they play us.

Thought we were pretty poor today, but luckily, not as poor as Leicester.

Happy with the win, but it's papering over the cracks IMO.

There were a lot of below par performances today - Brunt especially was
giving the ball away at every opportunity - not quite sure how he survived
the full 90 minutes.

While I was happy to see Sess replaced, Irvine's decision to replace him
with Yacob invited yet more, unnecessary pressure. Luckily we rode it out.

Good 3 points on the road against a rival but I'm realistic enough to know it
was a lucky win. We didn't even score our own goal.

Not convinced by AI that is, tactics, personnel, seems he doesn't like flair players all this is not the Albion way,

Dour season ahead it seems we may be well survive but mmmmmm,

It's about time there was a rugby league horn to finish the game with some referees not going to the overtime - this game almost 3 minutes over - not good for the nerves. If someone is working out how much overtime there is, then should also blow the horn'/whistle/any goddam thing to say it's finished, and save the ref the job - particularly if they are biased.

Rant over, though I thought we were below average, though 3 pts is three points and we're 10th in league for now. Good.
