Just seen how prolific Saido has become ........ 27 Feb 2016 against Crystal Palace ....... this once rising star with the world at his feet got to big for his boots, ego over substance, that was the last time he scored a competitive goal ..... now over two years since he bothered the man or woman with the pencil and scoresheet. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Morale of the story ..... don't believe your own press ......
................................. the grass isn't always green .......

Prove yourself first ..... form can be a flash in the pan .. class is permanent.

I actually feel pretty sorry for the guy; not sympathy as he brought so much of this upon himself but, now he's in this position, I'd like to see his situation improve. I think he could be an excellent footballer - we saw many glimpses of that when it was all going well at the Hawthorns - but he has so screwed up his professional and personal life that he's wasting all that talent. I don't bear him any ill-will, he made poor choices, picked the wrong fights and received shocking advice. He was a young, immature lad who was, I feel, treated shockingly by those "advising" him. I accept he didn't have to accept their guidance but he foolishly did. I don't agree with much that Pulis did but I think he was right regarding Berahino - he recognised the guy was young and immature, so he tried a protective, arm around the shoulder approach. Unfortunately, that influence wasn't as strong as the crap advice he was getting from elsewhere.

Baggiesteve, well written, good sentiment, a young lad distracted by bad advice and admiration, if he could sort his head out would you like to see him back in our stripes??
If he grew up and knuckled down he may still rescue his career .... if (when) we go down maybe he could flourish in the championship.

4eva, I would be happy to see him play for us again. We all make mistakes and I think his were very much linked to his youth and immaturity (mind you, at 62 I know I'm still making them!). Sometimes, we have to chalk it up to experience.

Sorry guys I could never watch him in a Albion shirt again, he disrespected the club , basically called TP a liar yet the club sent him away on fooking Holidays to keep him away from the press,
No way Jose Angry
