Trouble is reserve team footie is dying. The old Central in which our reserves always struggled was much more prestigious and watchable. Now I'd put a team into a competitive Saturday League against first teams, so that youngsters, fringe players and those coming back from injury got a real test against players who would really want to beat them!
I wonder if Danny's body language did for you Pooch? He used to do the arms-folded thing, look stern and severe. BUT when he played in midfield he exuded optimism and effort. You only had to look at him to know he'd never give up. Body language matters. You can succeed despite it, like Sheridan, but when he took us down how he looked was a perfect illustration of how we were playing ............
