RE: The international break - SHEP_HTAFC - 24-03-2017 Auto correct is a pain.... Years ago I texted my daughter to see if she wanted to go see the new Pink Panther movie. Only auto correct changed it to Pink Panties. She still mentions it to this day.!!!! His funfair is next Wembley. ![]() RE: The international break - WakeyTerrier - 24-03-2017 I'm back from from my International short break jolly and I've a few points to make. 1) I'll start with the footy. Ok we lost but the signs were encouraging, we played some decent footy and on another night we could've scored 3/4/5 goals and hammered Germany 2) we couldn't finish a bag of crisps if we tried 3) Dortmund, not much to the place but it does have the German Football Museum which is worth a trip if only to see the World Cups and Euro Cups, plenty of other stuff to see inside as well. A few bars dotted around the city but not loads, the same with restaurants. A very industrial city on the whole 4) Signal Iduna Park, massive stadium but it's a bloody long way up to that away section if your at the very top. Bars,Merchandise and food all available inside and outside of the ground hours before kick off. It's all well set up. Even saw the ground next door where Wagner honed his management skills with the U23s...lets just say it's not quite Withdean 4) Trains, German efficiency...my arse! First train from the airport cancelled, second train 15mins late so don't let anyone tell you it's any different from over here 5) England fans, we have some right morons following England, when it's beer o'clock we tend to avoid all the main areas that these go to as lobbing bottles and crates about in the main square isn't our thing. Unfortunately in the ground there is no way of getting away from them. Pissed up,abusive and no respect for anyone. Most are young lads but some are older than me. Come on fellas get your act together, it's not the 1980s anymore. I don't give a rats arse about the IRA,The Pope, who won the war and how many planes the RAF shot down and most of those singing won't have a clue about all those things they sung. 6)Not all of us are idiots and we always meet some good lads on our travels. Next up, Lithuania at Wembley on Sunday followed by a trip to Hampden Park in June, get the beers in Shep! RE: The international break - theo_luddite - 24-03-2017 Apparently Stuart Webber is going to Norwich, so we need a new computer wizard on Football Manager and Mooy is banned for the Aussie game in Sydney. If so send him straight back here, don't fly him to Sydney ffs. RE: The international break - Lord Snooty - 24-03-2017 Aye. Send him back here if he can't play. Talking of being banned. Did you see the tackle tonight that broke Seamus Coleman's leg? ![]() RE: The international break - jjamez - 25-03-2017 Looks like there is a job opening for me then theo! RE: The international break - theo_luddite - 25-03-2017 Go for it jjamez RE: The international break - Lord Snooty - 26-03-2017 Kachunga named on the bench for Dr Congo. RE: The international break - Lord Snooty - 26-03-2017 Nice to watch some lower league games on Sky this afternoon, see how our ex players are getting on. A good leg up deflection by Murray Wallace stopped Bradford getting a point at Scunny, where Matt Crooks had scored the winner. RE: The international break - Lord Snooty - 26-03-2017 Dr Congo lost 2-1. Kachunga came on for Kabananga in the 78th minute. |
