RE: Good Luck Danny - Devongone - 11-01-2017 SACK RITCHIE! The team really rallied round him! SACK AC - he seems personable, but he's had his chance. Looking good in a suit and having a nice smile isn't enough. We need a manager with Premier League credentials to get us where we deserve to be - the Northern Premier League. Last night for the first time EVER I didn't even look for our result. RE: Good Luck Danny - Dancingwilldoit - 11-01-2017 Big Kev talking about helping out and possibly help putting a consortium together to buy the club. Now if that transpired I would be elated. Big Kev would become King Kev overnight and would have a statue erected outside the Prozac reception. RE: Good Luck Danny - Devongone - 11-01-2017 Kevin Erect. a frightening prospect for Division One and Two. RE: Good Luck Danny - bluepooch - 11-01-2017 So Paul Cook suddenly plummets in the betting ,making me salivate at the prospect of him returning . This all seems surreal and surely it cannot happen. Went from 20/1 to 6/4 in 12 hours and currently 3/1. That usually means some punter stuck 50 quid on him at 20/1, causing the bookies to panic!!! I always wonder why we even think the bookies have any better information than the fans who are in and around the club every day do. Yeah its the same with Horse Racing odds as well they fluctuate just before they are about to race because punters will be putting the bets on. I can't see Cook coming back especially when he's got a year and a half left at Portsmouth. It would be great and a lot of fans would like to see it but its not going to happen. RE: Good Luck Danny - bluepooch - 12-01-2017 So currently its between Caldwell and Redfearn but it will probably change again tomorrow,I think weve had about 6 favourites in 2 days . None of these inspire me but if I had to choose from those two id go with Caldwell. RE: Good Luck Danny - Devongone - 12-01-2017 Redfearn's a serial failure ....... nowhere near as good as Danny ......... not much better than me! Caldwell was unlucky at Wigan, where they once loved a manager, found he loved them back ........ and won't be ready for another relationship for a very long time. Let's not appoint anyone. Let it run with Ritchie. I know it looks a poisoned chalice for him. But if we lose on Saturday we're doomed - even Warnock wouldn't save us. It's significant three of the bottom four clubs are in crisis off the field as well as on it - us, Oldham and Coventry. Let's sort that out. Kevin Davies is the only name in the glossary of pointless managers, financial backers and interested parties who brings a smile to my face. The rest are indentikit blanks with failing cv's. (If things were going well at Pompey would Cookie's name rate a mention?) If we love NOBODY in the list of potential candidates; APPOINT NOBODY, he's probably the best man for the job. RE: Good Luck Danny - Dancingwilldoit - 12-01-2017 KD for me. Cook can stay where he is. His off the field antics were childish and he has done bog all with a big budget at Portsmouth. If he came back here I wouldn't welcome him. He did a good job but his tenure was when our costs started to spiral out of control. Our best season equaled our biggest loss. |
