RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - Zinman - 06-02-2016 Should make it an even match. Newcastle dont have a defence and we dont have an attack. I feel very sorry for those that have bothered to go -if we lose this there will quite rightly be melt down on here. RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA Will - 06-02-2016 Jesus Christ, four centre backs, four defensive midfielders, McClean and Anichebe? At what point does this become match fixing? RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - bomberbrown1968 - 06-02-2016 Totally bewildered that while TP won't play Poco as LB he takes up a space on the bench - why???? If he's that untrusted surely Gamboa is more versatile as a sub. I'm also baffled by the starting XI, but I've also stopped trying to fathom out what's behind our selections. I've got no coaching badge so what do I know, just 40 odd years of watching & following the Albion and I like to think I know something about our players and where they're supposed to play. RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - Zinman - 06-02-2016 Pulis "I'd like to have gone with a better balanced team". I assume he means another couple of defenders? RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - betterthanbaird - 06-02-2016 I assume Anichebe is playing because he did really well when we played Newcastle earlier this season and he started. I thought Sess had looked good recently but others said he'd lost form, either way Gardner normally isn't the answer especially when Newcastle have a young winger at left back, unless we're just worried that they'll be too good for us going forward on that side, which is understandable but doesn't merit such a defensive team. Chester might shock everyone and look at least average. On the bright side if we hold on for as long as possible we do have a lot of options on the bench. RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - Luke_East_Baggie - 06-02-2016 First game I've missed for a while, apparently gardener with a decent pen shout? Anyone esee it RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 06-02-2016 Just outside the box LEB With a bloke the size and build of Sicknote, its remarkable how easily he falls over and gets knocked off the ball. Same with Rondon I suppose That was coming - the Toons should be out of sight. RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - Zinman - 06-02-2016 How utterly predictable. Any chance we can try to score now we've gone behind? RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - wba_1996 - 06-02-2016 The prick should be sacked on the spot. That line up is a disgrace to the history and tradition of this football club and an embarrassment to the sport. I hope we get relegated if it means Pulis goes, then I can go back to supporting my team. RE: Newcastle vs WBA - Match Thread - Squirrel Regis - 06-02-2016 After 27 mins sky reporting that Newcastle had 80% possession. ![]() |
