Cooper now even money favourite with Skybet.Thats a significant move

RE: Goodbye Dean - Devongone - 02-12-2015

I like Deano at 25/1 for Walsall. Could he conjure relegation out of promotion for them? Maybe he'd loan us Romaine Sawyers.

Stuart Clouds of Gray aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. Slow death.

If I were Mark Cooper it would be Walsall's team and league position versus actually having to see Walsall every day.

I love Pooch enthusiastically turning into McCririck on the betting front.

RE: Goodbye Dean - bluepooch - 02-12-2015

The odds are fluctuating every few hrs bit it looks like we have 3 or 4 cemented at the front of the betting
I'm still thinking there might be a springer in the market yet .

RE: Goodbye Dean - spireitematt - 02-12-2015

Phil Neville I think we can rule out because him and his brother are now in charge of Valencia till the end of the season. I think Sean Dyche will stay at Burnley as there doing quite well and hoping to bounce back into the Premier League.

I watched a interview of Chris Wilder and I think he would be a good candidate as manager.

Why on earth is Sean Dyche even on that list from the bookies?????? There is no way he will be dropping into League 1 and no way he will be leaving Burnley anyway!!

After years of watching Sean Dyche's imitation of a headless horseman galloping over-enthusiastically down the wing from full back at Saltergate only to be cleaned up on the road outside if we had been unwise enough to leave the gates open ......... I feel he owes us something now he has miraculously metamorphosed into being a proper manager, even if it is only a 66/1 quote in the betting to take us over. Watching that after seasons of Kenny Burton (ex-OWL) finding touch more regularly than Dan Carter has to be taken into account. Sean Dyche is one of our own; we bought him with our patience.

In real life (not football), leaving Burnley for almost anywhere, would be considered a superior option to staying there. Obviously you never get to see Kirsty and Phil on Location Location Location.

RE: Goodbye Dean - bluepooch - 05-12-2015

Cooper and Chris Wilder 2/1 joint favs now.
I was quite impressed with Mark Smiths interviews and in a way I hope he does well and gets the gig to the end of the season.I guess he is the value for money bet at 14s ,he will be much shorter if we win tomorrow.

RE: Goodbye Dean - Devongone - 05-12-2015

If we beat Walsall it'll be in the realms of the loaves and fishes.

I'd judge Mark Smith on what he's done, not how he sounds.

I'm happy to take a chance but I want to see some management record or real promise. I think we ought to at least aim to stay in this division.

I watched Hartlepool last night. I'd sign Rhys Oates tomorrow or January, Jake Gray if Palace decide he won't make it, Andrews if Middlesbrough ditch him and I liked their left back too. Paul Scholes' comment amused me that he couldn't see much between Salford and Leagues 1 and 2. Perhaps he hasn't noticed they've brought in ex-League players throughout their team and have now got themselves a former international (only in his late twenties) playing left back for them.

As for the Beeb's decision to screen Salford again, possibly to advertise another documentary on the Class of ....., illustrates a perverted idea of the magic of the cup. A club transformed by the wealth of five top players and a multi-millionaire gets the air time and publicity from which every other non-league team left in the cup would better have benefited. It isn't only Yentob who needs to leave that organisation.
