Mr King has either been misinformed by someone at Rangers OR he is lying through his back teeth.
The Easter Road board, knowing how we feel about their inactivity in signing Leigh Griffiths, would never have taken a chance on offering Scott to Rangers or anybody else. Rangers had ideal opportunity to make us a reasonable offer for Allan but decided to wait and see if unsettling the player would pay off. It did to the extent that Allan submitted a transfer request but they still wouldn't or couldn't come up with the cash to secure him.
The rest is history, Rangers and King have lost a lot of credibility over this debacle
