Makes you wonder whether the ultimate decision as to who was offered what was done to Paul Aldridge in the end anyway.

I don't think SG will have offered any contracts on his own. It will have been done by the commitee. Perhaps SG has pissed them off n'all  Thumb up

The current list of candidates on Sky Bet is the usual suspects for every job!! Colin is always on them, Big Sam is on everyone even though he has said he wants a break and even John Carver is getting odds, someone who will rightly struggle to get any job!! Warburton would be my favorite and I wouldn't mind seeing Paul Lambert come in, he knows how to get promoted from this division.

As long as its a bet on him disappearing down some sink hole in the middle of Italy!!!

Sam Allardyce 1/1
Slavisa Jokanovic 7/2
Paul Lambert 7/1
Sven Goran Erikkson 9/1
Billy Davies 10/1
Mark Warburton 10/1
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink 11/1
John Carver 11/1
Ally McCoist 12/1
Benito Carbone 12/1
Gus Poyet 14/1
Paolo di Canio 16/1
Nigel Clough 16/1
Nigel Adkins 20/1
Darren Ferguson 20/1
Mark Cooper 20/1
Gianfranco Zola 20/1
John Sheridan 20/1
Paul Ince 25/1
Lee Clark 33/1

Here are the latest odds.

Big Sam is evens, that is very short odds this early after a sacking, do they know something??

I would definitely consider Big Sam, Jokanovic, Lambert and Warburton. JFH is an interesting option, very raw but has done well so far. Love the way Nigel Adkins is 20-1!!!!

RE: New Manager Thread - Imre varadi - 11-06-2015

Brian deane ffs Doh  why dont they just put down Hommer xxxx simpson and Darth Vader down   Whistle  maybe carbone eh he was stiring shit at the start of the week Huh  although i dont want the twat Thumb down  dicanio yes yes yes yes Thumb up  he loves the game and he will attract better players there the positives anyway Whistle  but the negatives are quite dangerous   Doh

so my pick would be Lambert  Thumb up although he was totaly shit with Villa wasnt he  Doh

RE: New Manager Thread - St Charles Owl - 11-06-2015

Lambert struggled at Villa but it was during a time when the chairman was not backing him with money. He got Norwich promoted twice and then kept them in the Premier League before moving to Villa. For me he definitely ticks most of the boxes!!

I agree about Lambert but I'd still go for the guy from Watford  Thumb up he was their FIFTH ?? manager of the season and still managed to get them promoted Thumb up

Now I'm being cynical here, but he got them promoted with someone else's players!!  We definitely need someone who can operate in the committee and in the transfer market as we are short of a bunch of players.
