Nestor had to go.
Financial situation is grave and the new owners had no choice but to sell our ‘better’ and more expensive players. They had to gamble on buying in less expensive and unknown players and hope something worked.

Nestor is responsible for the manager selections and these people (so far) do not seem able to make a purse out of a pigs ear.

Instead of pulling together and acting with a siege mentality they all seem to have switched off at present and not care about their league status.

Hopefully, Portsmouth was the wake up call and the pain might mean there is a reaction and a coming together.

Managerial changes cost lots of money. Money we do not have and money that could have been paid out on player loans etc (I assume). He is complicit in this situation and I am glad he has gone.

The best loan we could do now is a gritty manager to work alongside Ramsey to act as his enforcer.

That last point is a good 'un Stairs - an older, hardened co-manager to go alongside ER sounds like the way forward

Although the story (probably sourced from Nestor himself, so worth a pinch of salt) is that he was fed up of being overruled on transfers and didn’t pick Ramsey because they didn’t fit the plan. Which could explain why summer 2025 was worse than in prior years. Leaves me wondering who the heck is making decisions

We need a statement from Patel.
It looks like Nestor has walked due to major decisions being made by Patel himself.
Who selected Ramsay? Who knows,
More importantly who's coming in.

We could be in danger of Patel deciding owning a football club is more trouble then it worth.
I fear dark clouds are forming.

Eeeek!

To avoid relegation we need to revert back to a system the players know and boost the moral and confidence of the squad. I look around and who could do that for the next few months at little or no cost?
Forget DoFs and new managers.
Megson overseeing
Big Dave - Mozza - Brunt and Arbella.
Bring the family back together.
Anything else IMHO would see us relegated.

I couldn’t agree more, Bluebaggie, but I’m sure that’s not going to happen. I cannot foresee a situation where they will replace Ramsay after four games, it would be a damning indictment of their choice, particularly as they have previously said how they were Jenn on him before they appointed Mason.
I think we’re stuck with him for the duration, we just have to hope he experiences an epiphany and realises what he’s doing just ain’t working.

I’m sorry folks but I’m not one for putting too much faith in the owner. Yes he’s a marked improvement on Lai but let’s be honest that wasn’t going to be difficult. Surely Patel did his due diligence and knew exactly what he was walking into! Despite Lai’s best efforts Patel inherited what was basically a decent squad capable of so much more than the current debacle. The financial rewards of the Greed league far outweigh what we are inevitably facing in league one yet the last three managerial appointments show a complete lack of understanding of the game and worse, a lack of ambition.
I get the ‘fire sale’ of Heggem and Fellowes, to generate immediate and significant funds, but some of the others who left for significantly less, Furlong, Taylor, Palmer etc. was a complete and utter waste as any revenue generated will be swallowed up by relegation and paying for sub standard replacements including sub standard managers.
The only positive I can see is that we do already have a squad that is only fit for league one at best.

I'm pointing the finger directly at our owners. They're a bunch of con artists. Why didn't they just sell someone else to Bologna for £10 million to get some cash to buy a couple of players
Simple it's because they're not going to Invest in the club. Well sooner they go the better I for one are tired of broken promises. How can the majority of people think, selling off our best players and getting us relegated is acceptable. It's beyond me.
