RE: WBA vs Swansea - Match Thread - meandbrenarebaggies - 09-02-2015 Sorry Aries but have to disagree. Swansea should be seen as VERY beatable. Just look at their last 6 results..Reds smash them 4-1, then they get two 1-1 draws against QPR and WHU, Then Chelski thrash them 0-5, they scrape a 0-1 win at Soton and then Sunderland go there and hold them to 1-1. They are very beatable at a sold out Baggies with our lot providing a 12th man. It's not "oh dear it's Swansea!!!!" it's "bring it on, it's only Swansea". RE: WBA vs Swansea - Match Thread - drewks - 09-02-2015 ....it SHOULD be "bring it on, it's only Swansea", but it isn't. Look at our last 5 games too - has there been even a 20 minute-long performance that you could describe as adequate? Maybe the odd 10 mins against ......Gateshead. Maybe! So my comment on the Swansea game is that a few years ago a home game against them would have been an almost certain win and we have to get ourselves back into that same mentality. OK Swansea have had a few years good output but compared to The Albion they really should be seen as very beatable with us at home. Our aspirations should be competing with the likes of Everton and Newcastle Utd for top ten positions and seeing home wins against Swansea and Aston Villa as more or less routine. If we continue to self-denigrate ourselves and whinge about our own players shortcomings then we deserve to rattle around in the relegation dog fight area of the league. The difference between a team winning and getting better and a team sliding is CONFIDENCE. I hope Pulis does instil this but it's really down to Lescott and Fletcher to pick the kids up and get them going. We are a gnat's hair away from being a more positive, aggressive and durable team. And......we must get our striped shirt back ASAP! For what it's worth Swansea are above both Newcastle and Everton in the table. Does anyone know if Mulumbu is available for this game? RE: WBA vs Swansea - Match Thread - meandbrenarebaggies - 09-02-2015 One way of defining Black Country is those areas where a thick rich vein of coal appeared on the surface in the area around West Bromwich....what we need now is a rich vein of optimism in the same area. I am convinced we will trot out and send Swansea home wondering what has hit them. It's not my fault that Toon and Toffees are not playing as well as they should ;-) RE: WBA vs Swansea - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 10-02-2015 Baggies Galore @BaggiesGalore 30 mins30 minutes ago U-21s drew 0-0 with Brighton earlier tonight.
