RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - WakeyTerrier - 10-08-2024 Worked perfectly on Sly Sports so obviously somebody at Sky pressed the wrong button near the end. Happy with that result, a couple of scares in the first half where pace exposed our back 3 but once we scored we looked comfortable for the rest of the match RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - theo_luddite - 10-08-2024 I was watching on Now which is Sky on BT/EE. Complete bollocks on their behalf when it's supposed to be the same feed. It wasn't just at the end of the game. They dropped the feed several times during the game. Unlucky, but it's a Silver. RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - theo_luddite - 10-08-2024 I see formation drowning is apparently still a thing at the Olympics ... or should it now be called break dancing in the pool? RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - Lord Snooty - 11-08-2024 Not a sport that. Rubbish. What's that you say? We've won a medal? Of course it's a sport. Always enjoyed watching synchronised swimming. It's brilliant. ![]() RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - Lord Snooty - 11-08-2024 Anyway, back to the footy. I thought Evans was Man of the Match and the online voting confirmed that most other people thought the same. He looks a better bet than Rudoni already. Wiles too, is looking better than last season and with Kane and Kasumu on the bench, the midfield is looking better. Early days yet though. And in a lower league of course. Still not happy with the strikers. Healey was quiet. Koroma still not as good as his purple patch from a couple of seasons ago. Let's see what the West Ham lad looks like in the Cup game. There were a couple of times when the Posh cut through our defence like a knife through butter, which Championship strikers would've buried. So still need tightening up at the back. A win's a win though and always nice to beat that lot. ![]() RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - theo_luddite - 12-08-2024 Post match on Radio Local (sorry, was rather busy again yesterday) Duff Duff - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0jhr6tk Evans to Murgatroyd - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0jhr9s3 - further even. Snagglepuss? He was voiced by Daws Butler who also did the voices for Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Hound and many others for Hanna-Barbera cartoons. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daws_Butler RE: Posh v Town's Duff Duffs - 10/08/2024 - Devongone - 12-08-2024 Great start for you though the Posh do seem to have unaccountably deliberately weakened their team. Watched Wayne Rooney's Plymouth at the Wols on Sky. Can't get over how bad they were. Whitaker appeared to have no interest in the game at all. What other side has ever offered Barry Bannen 20 yards space all round him to operate in? Wayne left Hardie and Bali Mumba on the bench, played two forwards who never received a pass and his team seemed to have no plan .......... beyond desperate defence. If you ever go through a bleak patch this season, look up a replay of that game to see how bad things can really get. Well done!!! |
