Southampton's last 9 home games have only conceded 3 goals. We matched that in one game. Make no wonder their fans were in shock.

Nah I've not even started yet

RE: Southampton away - WakeyTerrier - 12-02-2024

I felt absolutely gutted on Saturday, built my hope up at 0-2 and then again at 2-3. Felt like a kick in the nether regions.

Great first half, we did almost everything we had to do and did it very well.

Second half was like 2 boxers slugging it out with no care given to blocking the blows. It’s easy to say now that we should have tried to slow things down a bit to take the sting out of the game.

Worthy looks like he’ll get the Sunderland game at least whilst those above find our next manager. I heard Duff and Eustace were the main 2 options and now I’m told it could be a foreign coach. They are keeping a good lid on who it’s going to be, either that or they don’t know as yet.

Yep. Siewert has left Mainz today. He's on his way back. Whistle Rolleyes Tongue Blush Sick Confused

I think we'd rather have Wakey than Martin from Wakefield again.

I think I'd almost rather have Bruce with Wadsworth, Grayson and Crisp Owl as assistants than Siewert.

I did say almost.

Given they've only lost 4 and drawn 3 after going behind, it's no wonder some backsides were tweaking on Saturday. Apologies to jjamez for (maybe) stealing his thunder. Didn't spot it in Snoots's OP if he mentioned it.

Home to the top 2 and away to the unbeaten (home) bottom club. What could pooooooossibly go wrong?

PS, we appear to be back to knitting fog on here again.
Faster to walk up the cut than pootle along in a narrow boat. Not sure why as it was all sorted not long ago..

Stairs said on the Baggies board that they're going to install the latest version to try to resolve this.
