RE: Canaries v Terriers 23/12/23 - theo_luddite - 23-12-2023 Well 12 months on and same place we were this time last year. Same points too. Don't think Uncle Colin gets on with The Yankee owner as well as he got on with Deano for some reason. ![]() All those "former" or loaned out players scoring for the clubs they are at were let go by Colin by the way. Can't blame Moore for that. Prima Donna League clubs might be more inclined to loan decent players to us with Moore here than they were with Colin, though they weren't queuing up to join us with the Frothy one in charge either. The one decent one we had was in the sick bay nearly all season assuming he ever got on the train north in the first place once he realised what he was dealing with. ![]() RE: Canaries v Terriers 23/12/23 - WakeyTerrier - 23-12-2023 I’m convinced that I have Tourette’s, every time I watch Town I seem to swear a lot. Town today, ok first half ands that’s only because it ended 0-0. Second half started like the first, on the back foot and wishing 2 minutes the game was gone. I don’t think Nagle will sack him but at the same time I’m not sure Moore has much public support left. The nay saving grace today was the 3 below us all lost. Come January will much change? I mean who would want to sign for us? RE: Canaries v Terriers 23/12/23 - theo_luddite - 23-12-2023 If if's were but's and but's were 'appens, or whatever that saying is, turning a few draws into wins would make the world of difference. Turn 'em into defeats and QPR would be above us. Sounded like some of the fans were letting the players know what they thought at the end of the game. I doubt many travelled expecting a win, but turning up as a team is a minimum requirement and too often we don't. Kasumu and Moore on Radio Local https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0h1cjl9 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0h1cjlk RE: Canaries v Terriers 23/12/23 - theo_luddite - 24-12-2023 Bowen at West Ham is showing what he used to do for Hull. They stuck with him while they worked it out. He's only one behind his best total for West Ham on 11 when his best total so far was 12. His best for Hull was 22. Hull found him at Hereford. What am I driving at? OK, we've picked up Sorba Thomas and Jack Rudoni in recent seasons from lower leagues. Hard to argue they aren't capable at this level (some might on some forums becuse they were plucked from lower leagues and will always be lower league players in their opinion). We also plucked Hudlin from the lower leagues, same club as Rudoni I think. Wombledon? Erm, is he our best bet as a future Bowen? I'm having a hard time seeing him as a Championship player. I'm having a hard time seeing him as a professional footballer if I'm honest. What exactly are our 'Football Manager' influenced scouts looking at? If he scores 20 goals between now and May I might change my opinion but in all honesty I've more chance at my age of finding 20 new 'girlfriends' on certain t'interweb sites that just want to be friends and spend all their money on me. Like that's gonna happen, and it's not that I frequent those kinds of websites anyway. I'll stick with the real friends I've got thank you very much. Maybe I should invest in 'Football Manager' and others as my own Christmas gift and offer my suddenly acquired skills to Town? What could possibly go wrong? Let me clarify that - Hudlin isn't the cause of our problems, particularly when it comes to scoring goals. I've nothing against him personally. Hell, we've other guys that are far more inept than him in that department who have played for years and are supposedly seasoned goal scorers. He's a sympton of something that is very, very wrong in the club when it comes to recruitment. RE: Canaries v Terriers 23/12/23 - Lord Snooty - 24-12-2023 Hudlin came from Solihull Moors. We sent him on loan to Wombledon as a sweetener in the Rudoni transfer deal. He's not the problem, you're dead right about the recruitment policy. And I know most of the old regime who brought him here have gone, but does anyone have confidence that the current lot will be able to improve on the type of player we're getting now? RE: Canaries v Terriers 23/12/23 - theo_luddite - 24-12-2023 I knew there was a connection somewhere. Too lazy to look it up. Cheers Snoots. Nothing to see here .... |
