RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - theo_luddite - 05-03-2023 Town fans love a scape goat and Scott High is the nominated one at the moment for too many Town fans. They'll now look for every mistake he makes whilst ignoring the shambles that's going on around him unfortunately and totally ignore anything good he does. Hell, they even had one or two, nay a handful, when we got promoted who weren't good enough at this level, in their opinion. Same last season. I hung on for 80 odd minutes but when Rhodes nodded over from inside 6yds I decided a stroll rather than a sprint back to the station was in order. Then Northern Rail decided to have a bloke with a red flag walk in front of the train all the way from Brighouse to Halifax. Or that's what it seemed like. RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - theo_luddite - 05-03-2023 I've not bought a WBA ticket yet, chances are I could buy on the day if I was so inclined, they have a ticket office by the away end. It will take a major improvement in performance on Tuesday to persuade me to make that short journey next weekend. I've not stayed up north for Tuesday and I won't be spending another £30 and change on petrol to make it back up there. To be honest I rarely do for midweek games, unless it's a special 'un. I'd rather spend the money towards trying to keep a local hostelry or two open next weekend if I'm honest. Still, "When Tomorrow Comes", eh? RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - Lord Snooty - 05-03-2023 The trouble with our team now is that they're either too young or too old. Last season, we had more mid career players in the side. The likes of Sarr, Pipa, Sinani, Toffolo. Some of these young uns will make the grade, with the right coaching set up. Hopefully we'll get it right next season in League One. The oldies aren't helping them out at the moment. The midfield, even with Hogg there, has no bite. Warnock needs to find another Darren Bullock before Easter if we're going to get resurrected. ![]() RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - theo_luddite - 05-03-2023 Things could be worse Snoots. Could be a Man 'nited fan walking out of Anfield early this afternoon ![]() At least we are used to being mediocre. Make it 7 ![]() RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - Lord Snooty - 05-03-2023 Always nice to know someone else is having a worse day than yourself. ![]() RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - theo_luddite - 05-03-2023 Apparently tickets are still available for Tuesday, hell I thought it would have old out by now. RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - WakeyTerrier - 06-03-2023 5 in our group of season ticket holders and I'm quite sure at least 4 if not all 5 of us will be giving Tuesday night a miss. On top of that I know another two who are of the same opinion. Minus temperatures forecast and it's available on the red button. It's much easier just turn the channel over when we go behind RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - theo_luddite - 06-03-2023 Might not be on that red button Wakey RE: Town v Sky Blues 04/03/223 - Amelia Chaffinch - 06-03-2023 (06-03-2023, 22:12)theo_luddite Wrote: Might not be on that red button Wakey It's been on the schedule on SSN today.
