If I knew they were coming back up the M6 I'd have hijacked the team bus, kidnapped him and tied him to an electric car charging point in Hilton Park Services and sent the team bus on it's way. He wouldn't have been noticed for at least a week, by which time I could have picked him up and dropped him off back in Coventry.

Well, maybe Monday. It is cold out there. Leaving him for a whole week might have been seen as being cruel.

RE: Boing Boing vs Woof Woof - Lord Snooty - 12-03-2023

Aye, well done, lads.

I only mentioned the Halfords Lane one because the screenwriter for the TV series New Tricks was a Baggies fan and named all the detectives after the Halfords Lane Stand at the Hawthorns. Jack Halford, Brian Lane and Gerry Standing.

Quote:As well as the "cold case" in each episode, the series drew on the characters personal lives including Sandra's fast-tracked career, Brian's alcoholism and relationship with his wife Esther, Jack's bereavement from his wife Mary and Gerry's ex-wives.

Roy Mitchell supports football team West Bromwich Albion and so named numerous characters after their players. The original three main male characters derived their names from the club's oldest stand, "The Halfords Lane Stand", at The Hawthorns football ground in West Bromwich.[19]

Apart from the police station scenes, the series was filmed on locations across London.

And now apparently, we're in a transfer embargo.

Just as well. Can't remember the last decent signing we made. Doh

Taken our eye off the ball with all the bs going on? Also seem to remember businesses were allowed to let HMRC filing slide ~6 months under Covid, which the EFL bought into. So if you only have to report every 12 months, which is the start date? The March 1st or the Sept 1st deadline? I've not seen anything saying that everything went back again to the original dates. It doesn't mean they haven't, I didn't see it mentioned in the press.

I've just read that Ronaldo is apparently disappointed by this news Big Grin
