How come, when the other team goes down to 10 men, we can't get out of our half and when we go down to 10 men, we still can't get out of our half?

First shot on target, 90+1.

After 91 minutes we register a shot on target and we wonder why we cant win games. Then we give away a penalty.

All I can say is I'm glad the £100 or so it would have cost me to go to the last 2 away games has stayed in my bank account. We're no better than we were with Fotheringham in charge. Colin has one helluva job on his hands here. 3 shots on target in 2 away games.

YAA will be delighted though. That's another £3 for them! Rolleyes

Out of the frying pan into the fire?

Warnock needs a Smokey Robinson.

RE: A wet Wednesday in Stoke - hibeejim21 - 16-02-2023

Honestly thought it was a windup when i heard you'd hired warnock.

RE: A wet Wednesday in Stoke - Lord Snooty - 16-02-2023

Can I just say. Referee was garbage and to give Boyle a second yellow for that was pathetic.

I don't think he would've got away with that if Warnock was stood on the sidelines.

Hands down that was the most abject display of the season, they owe the fans who travelled some sort of apology.

It beggars belief that with a new manager coming through the door tomorrow they put that sort of performance out. The very minimum they should be putting a shift in...but they didn't even do that.

We really got away with losing 3-0, it could easily have been that after 30minutes. Every corner they had we looked shaky. We can't defend for toffee, we can't pass for toffee and nobody knows if we can shoot for toffee as we don't ever get that far forward.

Players like Boyle and High shouldn't even be anywhere near the bench never mind the starting eleven.

We miss Hogg when he doesn't play but by christ he can't pass and ALWAYS looks backwards rather than forwards. We miss Duane Holmes purely because he's the only one of our midfielders that want to turn on the ball and drive forward.

Waghorn looks a fat lad playing Sunday Pub league football.

We are doomed I tell ya! and the worse thing about that is the Town fixtures will clash with my International fixtures. Well i can tell you now I'll be sacking Town off when fixtures clash, no contest I'd rather go to London or some foreign country than watch Town at Port Vale next season

To be fair to the ref, he gave Boyle a second yellow card for the arm across the face which was probably about right.

Texting my mate this morning and we mentioned that this season is just like the season we had Morbid Mick Wadsworth in charge 2002/03

That season started badly and got worse as the season went on. The season before we made the play offs and then our manager left having fallen out with the chairman

We sacked Wadsworth and then set him on again when we realised we couldn't afford to sack him but eventually sacked him and got Mel Machin in to replace him for the last 8 games.

At boardroom level despite David Taylor's best efforts we were a financial mess thanks to the previous owners spending spree, a mess which would see us enter administration.

Sounds familiar doesn't it.
