That’s a very harsh assessment of Beale. Good result and performance at the weekend, entitled to pick the same team. Bringing TGH in and keeping three at the back (remember how bad we were with two centre backs and no Ajayi?) were good calls.

But tonight was bloody awful. We’ve coached all ability out of BTA, Livermore was on his “give me a red card” night. Both goals from Phillips’ side (not a right wing back, but do we want Furlong?).

Your last sentence is spot on though. The speed of decline in that team beggars belief. That’s why Palmer, TGH, Wallace, BTA look so good when they come in - what are they compared against?

Also, we need Pulis back in on a set piece only coaching duty. 13 tonight and not one header won

There has to be something wrong at this football club when Okay Yokuslu - one of our best players in the Premier League - can't get a game and we're Championship relegation fodder...

Seriously get us a manager in now. Someone who can recognise and select out best XI. In their best positions. That's all we ask.

Why Beale felt the need to stick with 3 centre halfs for the entire 96 minutes when we're chasing a goal is beyond me...

Rogic was the best player when he came on, showed in the hole, found spaces, tried to make something happen. His performance, along with Cleary, who was lively, were the only positives.

Unfortunately there were many more negatives. The defending was a joke, which we have come to expect. We have absolutely nothing up top. Conner Townsend needs to be releaved of his duties indefinitely. He's been dreadful for a year and I lost count of the amount of hopeless punts he put into the box. He's turned into the left sided Furlong. As for Molumby, I don't recall seeing such a negative midfielder. I'd be happy to see him put in the same bin as Townsend.

Hopefully we don't have to endure another team selection from Beale. He's clearly clueless. But I don't hold my breath as everything seems to happen at a snail pace at this club.

Minizin, harsh on Beale maybe, but he is supposed to be a professional coach yet he can't see the blatantly obvious.
As slick said, we need someone who picks our best 11 and plays them in their right positions.

I agree that Beale is entitled to sick with a winning team, but personally when I saw the team for Reading, I thought it was miles off our best side.

I don't like 3 at the back because it takes so much away from our attacking play. Against Luton we looked like we could've played all night without scoring and tonight was no different.

From a defensive point of view, it mighty steady the ship a bit. But to be honest I think we always look like we're going to concede. Against Reading we rode our luck and tonight we were lucky not to concede more. Bristol City were clean through after 5 minutes from a hoofball from their keeper. We look like a disjointed mess in any formation. I appreciate any manager has to work with what is a bit of a dearth in talent.

I just think a good manager finds a formation to suit the personnel. Finds a way to fit at least one of Swift or Rogic in, our 2 best footballers. Starts Yokuslu. I'm not at all convinced with Beale from what I've seen of his selections and the fact he didn't sacrifice the 3rd centre half when were 2 goals down sums him up for me.

We're not going to go up, so lets play with some adventure, some attacking intent, play to entertain. At least he gave Cleary a chance though. That's one positive at least.
