RE: The Royal Rumble- Reading Versus Huddersfield - Devongone - 03-10-2022 Wakey Terrier's comment about Sorba Thomas is very telling. The one thing you were guaranteed about this player at Boreham Wood and Huddersfield WAS that he would give the game his all. From giving up on football entirely he made it all the way to international caps. Something is obviously very wrong at the club, or in his life, to be performing as he is for you now. Obviously, the problem isn't lack of ability, so what do you do about it? I'm not sure about Snoot's solution of kicks up the arse. I think it might make Snoots and a lot of fans feel better, but I've a feeling you'd be looking at similar performances with sorer arses. When Chesterfield had a good side (for us!) and it broke up, most of the players who had stayed weren't as good as they had been the previous season. Can I suggest that the crux of the problem might be you didn't get rid of enough players. If you'd sold Nicholls, Thomas and Russell you might have got the maximum value they would achieve in their careers ......... and you might have a happier, less disappointed squad now? RE: The Royal Rumble- Reading Versus Huddersfield - jjamez - 03-10-2022 Don't forget we do everything on the cheap, so there would have been a truly toxic atmosphere in the ground as for the answers. 1- the biscuitmen- one of their other nicknames 2- Renhe Sports Management- the majority owners of the club 3- Martin Hicks- record appearances for the club 4- Trevor Senior- most goals for the club 5- Tiago ilori- centre half who broke their club transfer record when they signed him from liverpool, george puscas broke it with an estimated 8 million transfer, now you see why they struggle financially 6- Steve Coppell- got them promoted to the Premier League and kept them there a season 7- Select Car Leasing Stadium- stupid name for their home ground RE: The Royal Rumble- Reading Versus Huddersfield - Lord Snooty - 03-10-2022 I should've got Martin Hicks. Wrote about him in the match thread last season. Kept scoring own goals for us. ![]() RE: The Royal Rumble- Reading Versus Huddersfield - theo_luddite - 03-10-2022 I had a go at a few of them, and decided the Private Eye crossword was easier, so well done jjamez, you stirred those up quite well ![]() |
