When √ was out for 3, England 4 wickets down and still not out of the 90's, I remained convinced it still had draw written all over it, which I pretty much though from day 2. Then Bairstow got his eye in and his skipper didn't do too bad either considering he injured himself supporting him. What an afternoon of cricket, what an afternoon of batting. Thumb up

Still buzzing about this the morning after! (All the more so because our footy team decided to shit the bed so spectacularly last night). I'll stick the highlights on here in case anyone's inclined to watch it again Smile

It's fair to say that the Netherlands have it all to do when they come into bat

Current score
England 385-2 off 43 overs
Salt 122
Malan 114*
Buttler 129*

Stunning batting performance

England 498-4
Salt 122 off 93 balls
Malan 125 off 109 balls
Buttler* 162 off 70 balls
Livingstone* 66 off 22 balls

New ODI record of 498-4, Livingstone's penultimate shot just a few yards short of giving us the full 500. Can't be doing with this negative mentality at the crease, it's like watching Geoff Boycott out there at times. I'm sure there was even a dot ball in there somewhere Big Grin

New Zealand 329 all out at Headingley. Daryl Mitchell the thirteenth touring player to score three Test centuries in a single series in England (Don Bradman [2], Charlie Macartney, Alan Melville, Arthur Morris, Garry Sobers, Gordon Greenidge, Viv Richards, David Boon, Brian Lara, Rahul Dravid [2], Mohammad Yousuf and Steve Smith the others). Could be an interesting match from here.

Well, we made tea - just. Will we be bowling again tonight or in the morning?

Well, after the Kiwi's were throwing some good'uns down that our early lads couldn't handle, Johnny B Goode and Jamie Overton stack up a 150 between them. He tatered em all over Trent Bridge, he's took his time at Headingley, two tremendous innings (so far).

Might have done one this before, will probably do it again, hopefully soon.
