A few clues: 7 is an Albion all-time legend, and 6 was one of his teammates. 11 was never actually our player, but is a recent name and a popular one at that. No excuses for not getting it. 15 was a cup-winning outside-left. First name is sharp as a knife, and he might even use it to cut his surname. 19 was a Fifties favourite, doing ball tricks a long time before Maradona made it cool. 23 is a relatively recent defender; maybe somewhat forgotten now, but was a regular on the team-sheet for a couple of seasons. The remainder are quite far back in the mists of time, to the extent that clues would be useless. Though 29 probably enjoyed a good humbug. At half-time there was no punditry - instead we watched teenager Davy Burnside come on and juggle the ball for the full break. The next day, at playtime, all the kids were trying to emulate his ball skills: he had juggled left foot to right to left, etc; then with his head for about a minute; then shoulders; then back to the left foot again and so on, - and the ball hardly touched the floor for 5 mins! No one outside The Hawthorns had heard of him an hour before that match, but he became a Nationwide hero in 5 minutes!
