Which makes our decision not to bring in another forward this window all the more perplexing.

I think that's possibly why Mathies time at the club is coming to a end, he's done a good job but ultimately he's failed the last two windows, both Jack Ross and Ron Gordon expected at least a new striker at the club and it didn't happen.

That was definitely a glaring failure perceived by most Hibs fans towards the end of the transfer window. I reckon the aborted deal between St Mirren and Hibs in the last few hours of that last transfer period sealed Mathie's fate - a botch up that RG was not impressed with at all! Who does he bring in? All I can say is, "Choose wisely Ron"!
