Well if you keep consistently pushing threads in "praise of HMFC and fans" and have so many negative views of Hibs FC and activities associated with Cabbage fans, I'm sure this guy will continue to give you likes - "right up his street" as already observed. Also what's this "big deal" about twirling scarves?? By gum it is so overdone! And why so defensive on such an insignificant issue? May I also add we're not long back from the restrictions imposed during this pandemic (and still embroiled in a COVID crisis btw) and no fans present at ER Stadium or anywhere else for a very very long time. Therefore no atmosphere at all and few big matches played out in front of fans apart from that recent one at the PBH. Just saying eh! I acknowledge your criticism re Hibs fans vocal participation at ER Stadium, but this is an "old chestnut" that spans back pre-pandemic when certain Hibs fans' groups approached HFC to accommodate a more vocal participation of fans who wanted to change things inside the ground for the better. Hibs officials never accommodated that request properly and alienated a lotta proactive Hibs fans in the process. Hence the problem. I'm a registered Hibs shareholder, sat in on meetings debating this very subject and how to redress the problem. May I also add Hibs away support was generally more vocal than what was happening at home. That endorses my view that Hibs hi atmosphere matches, pre-pandemic, were games in which certain groups of Hibs fans "showed up for the game", were far more vociferous and added to the atmosphere tenfold - they made a huge difference no matter where they were located in the stadium!! That is my "take" on the subject - a qualified one purely based on observation and following Hibs FC for "donkeys' years". Re this character, Inverurie Jambo? I have nothing to say re this guy who absconded the Sb board years ago together with the rest of his Jumbo pals and hardly ever showed up ever again to add anything of substance to the board. How can I deride this guy when I ignore him by default for obvious reasons and have done so for a very long time????

I'm not specifically praising HMFC or their fans, purely observing fans as I do at all live sport which I enjoy more than sitting on the couch watching " my EPL" side on the TV etc.

I could go on about how fans show their appreciation at the many events I have attended from Ajax FC, Atalanta FC through to Virginia Tech football ( google their players entrance) and Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey. They all have their way to inspire their team and I like to see all of them. I enjoy and like some of them and don't like others. As I said, just an opinion but who is right and who is wrong????????????

For someone, who before living here full time, used to travel a 1000 mile round trip to Easter Road twice a month to watch the cabbage I take great offence on you saying " I have so many Negative views " on Hibs. I have just said I watch fans and their actions and songs / anthems.......... I do have a criticism on Sunshine on Leith ( although loving the song) which I have highlighted earlier in that .......in my opinion........it cannot be started and sung during a game by the fans because due to its slow timing it is extremely hard to sing and needs the record to be playing and therefore we only hear it sung prior to a game or after. To me a great anthem needs to be able to be struck up during the game to celebrate or drag the team across the 90 minute line........my opinion. The best example of this is "You'll never walk alone" which now is the domain of 2 clubs in Liverpool FC and Smeltic . However when I was younger supporting my home town team Villa, home and away, nearly all clubs sang it.

At Villa our greatest rivals were , are and always will be Birmingham City, who despite this and I don't mind saying!! have the best football anthem of them all in "Keep Right On to the End Of The Road".....my opinion. This has everything a good football anthem should have and is a great sight and sound when the crowd are in full voice at St Andrews. I suppose by believing this I am deriding and bringing Villa down!!!!!! Incidentally this song was written in 1916 and started to be sung by blues fans in 1956 thanks to their Scottish winger Alex Govan on their path to the FA cup final. Just because a song is old doesn't mean it is past it.

As far as supporters from other clubs coming on here that is fine as this is a general forum of all sports and all are welcome as long as they follow the rules. As a mod, apart from the usual roles I feel I should be fair, trying to encourage as many as possible to enter discussions. If things go beyond this I will step in so will keep an eye on IJs posts as I told you. However if you wish to take over the "mod" role that will be fine by me.

GGTTH if I'm still allowed to put this 0762 Tongue
