Gallagher off!!! And he keeps Sawyers on.
Sorry Slav but you have lost the plot, time to go I'm afraid.

Gayle. It had to be.

Looks like we are yet again going to be rebuilt by a new manager and will be ‘preparing for the Championship’

What a fantastic cross then finish for their 2nd.
Fair play!

Well, I suppose I should thank Albion for making me feel twelve years younger, because that was like watching Mowbray's Premier League side all over again.

1. Concede daft early goal from avoidable mistake
2. Take half an hour to settle down with lots of aimless passing
3. Snatch an equaliser after much huffing and puffing
4. Spend another half-hour looking like the home team with more passing and build-up, but don't trouble the goalie
5. Lose to a ruthless, clinical sucker punch

Have a very happy Christmas and a prosperous 2009.

Thank goodness we didn't make a serious effort to sign Gayle and instead bought Grant.....I, for one, am extremely grateful - dodged a bullet there!!

Put £100 on Solskjaer to be the next manager sacked when United were 3-0 down at Leipzig in the week.

Well that's being cashed out right now, because Bilic has to go...

So many failings... And while Goodman is right that he hasn't been well backed and our playing squad is largely out of their depth, the selections and setup remains a mystery.

I am convinced the players could be setup to give us more of a chance. Moving to 4 at the back - which we played all last season - would be a start.

The reason we concede so much is because our midfield gets picked apart like a hot knife through butter. We need that extra man in midfield, not another centre half.

Plus there is no belief in this side. At 1-0 we can have our lions share of the game, then when we equalise it's all Newcastle... The reason Bruce was able to take off a full back and replace him with a midfield player who supplied the goal was because after our goal, we sat back and offered nothing. There was never any point at 1-1 that it felt like we could be the team to come away with 3 points.

It was obvious in the summer we needed more guts, belief, leadership. We were desperate for a proper defensive midfielder who sat in front of the defence and protect them.

It wasn't addressed or even seen by the manager or director of football by the looks of things.

It's embarrassing that the only player in midfield and up top who actually chases and presses is a 21 year old Chelsea loanee. What does that say about the playing staff we have invested in?

Ajayi, Ivanovic and O'Shea all try to play on the front foot, they all care, but in front of them there is no desire to press.

What's the point bringing Austin on when he wasn't even up to it last season? Why does Robinson get hauled every time he has a bad half?

Plot well and truly lost.

I like Slav but think he's lost the plot.
Why would you take our best two players off Connor and Robinson and leave Sawyers on ???

He never scores, no defence splitting passes, can't tackle, can't pass more than 10 yards and hardly ever moves the ball forward,
I could do that ....
Anybody what's the point of Sawyers ?

I’m a huge fan of Slav but to take Grant and Robinson off for Austin and Gibbs, then later on Gallagher is just crazy.

Grant has pace to burn but we haven’t seen it yet because of the way we play so why take him off unless he’s injured.

Gibbs needed to be put back in before now. Playing O’shea on the left side of what was three CBs also odd as he’s used to playing as RB so would have been better that side surely.

Matty did well for the goal but to have him in instead of Grosicki another mistake.

Leaving Sawyers on the field and talking Gallagher off is a nonsense.

Then we have Gayle. I said to my son as soon as he came on he would get their winner and we should have signed him but was met with he doesn’t score in the premier league abs he isn’t good enough. BOOM

So fed up of this now. I wish we could just stop now and not have to endure what is becoming a horrible Nightmare. My mood can’t get much lower.

Must be great for you to feel 75 again then.  Whistle

Anyway, my belief since the beginning of the season has been that Slaven deserves until December at the minimum. Now we are in December and I can't see him lasting much longer. Some of his decision making is baffling and his insistence on 5 defenders, even at home, is frustrating.

My concern if we go down the route of replacing him is I have zero confidence in our hierarchy replacing him properly. I fully expect them to panic and bring in a dinosaur on an over inflated wage with a massive staying up bonus.

For that reason I'd rather we stick with him through Christmas and into the new year.

Thank xxxx Pulis is back in work.

Well, I think we are down, and also in the last throws of SB, unfortunately.
As has been sort-of said by others, I'm not too depressed about going down, but could REALLY be with the next HC, knowing the way we operate.
PLEEAAASE board, don't panic - don't get rid of SB and go backwards....
